APPLICATION STEPS:
1) COMPLETE AND SIGN THE CITY OF DETROIT CITY OWNED VACANT LOT APPLICATION 2) PROVIDE: A) Proof of Ownership of Purchasers Property if Applying as an Adjacent or Neighborhood Owner One of the following: A copy of the recorded deed, or A copy of the recorded land contract papers, or A copy of the recorded mortgage papers B) Proof of Real Estate Taxes: A copy of the City of Detroit Real Estate Tax bill A copy of the Wayne County Real Estate Tax bill Please note Both City and County taxes must be paid in full. No payment arrangements will be accepted.

6. I understand that if the vacant lot is available for sale, a package will be mailed to the address indicated below. The package must be returned via mail within 30 days. 7. I understand that if a vacant lot is located between two residential structures it will be offered and/or evenly divided between both adjacent owners. 8. I understand that the City is only offering the vacant lot AS IS with no warranty whatsoever. I understand that the vacant lot may have substantial physical defects, environment hazards, and/or title defects. I understand that part of the reason for the reduced purchase price is that I am assuming the risks for any defects in the vacant lot. No one from or on behalf of the City has made any statements, promises, representations, or warranties, expressed or implied, as to the condition of the vacant lot. I acknowledge that I am proceeding at

my own risk. I release the City from all liability regarding the condition of the vacant lot, whether environmental, physical, legal (title), or otherwise. 9. I further understand and agree that I must maintain the vacant lot in accordance with all land use, zoning, and property maintenance laws and ordinances. 10. I understand that both State Law and City Ordinance prohibit the City of Detroit from entering into a contract with any person in default to the City. Therefore, I HEREBY CERTIFY THAT I am not in default of income taxes or property taxes payable to the City of Detroit. I understand that the City will verify the status of my income taxes and property taxes.
