Reprogramming module

1. INSTALLATION / UNINSTALLATION 1.1 Installation


Run the installation program:

If the module has not been installed, the following window appears:

The status bar is used to obtain information about the session in progress (if available): - version of the module in use - vehicle model - VIN - type of computer

Pre-reprogramming instructions

Carefully read the instructions relating to the operations that must be carried out before reprogramming. Only if these operations have been carried out, select "Oprations de pr-reprogrammation effectues" ("Prereprogramming operations carried out").

Otherwise, select "Oprations de pr-reprogrammation non effectues" ("Pre-reprogramming operations not carried out"). The following window appears.

Module operating instructions

Carefully read the technical pre-requisites for use of the module. Click on "Valider" ("Confirm") if these pre-requisites have been met.

Selecting the computer

Enter the VIN, the vehicle model and the computer to reprogram in the relevant fields and then click on "Interrogation des calculateurs" ("Interrogation of computers")

Troubleshooting

If the VIN entered is incorrect, the following window is displayed:

If no J2534 sensor is connected, the following window is displayed. The same error occurs if several sensors are connected at the same time.

Interrogating the vehicle

Wait while the module interrogates the vehicle.

Troubleshooting

The following messages are displayed: If the VIN read on the vehicle is different to the VIN entered on the previous screen, the correct VIN must be selected manually:

If the vehicle does not have a VIN, use of the VIN entered on the previous screen must be confirmed:

If the selected computer is not reprogrammable:

If it is impossible to communicate with the vehicle. Check that the sensor is working correctly.

Downloading the reprogramming file

Click on "Suivant" ("Next") to continue.

The following window is displayed during interrogation of the Renault server.

Select your personal certificate (if requested)

Enter your certificate password.

Once the file is retrieved, click on "Suivant" ("Next").

Troubleshooting

The following messages are displayed: If the selected computer is up-to-date. Click on "Quittez l'application" ("Exit application")

If the Renault server is unable to determine which file to use. Click on "Quittez l'application" ("Exit application") Click on "Imprimer" ("Print") to print (Note: only if a printer is configured)

If your InfoTech account has not been credited

If your vehicle cannot be treated by this module

If a certificate or server problem occurs

If your certificate is not connected to your computer

Click on "Abandonner" ("Abandon") if you do not have a certificate. The following message is displayed. Click on "Quitter" ("Exit").

Click on "Suivant" ("Next") after having connected your certificate if you have one. The following message is displayed. Click on "OK".

If communication with the Renault server is impossible:

Check that your workstation is configured correctly to access the Internet and that the Firewall is not preventing connection to the Renault server. Click on "Test connexion" ("Test connection") to try again. The following message is displayed:

Click on "Annuler" ("Cancel") to abandon and exit.

Running the reprogramming

Wait during the battery test.

If the battery voltage is within the permissible range, reprogramming may be started by selecting "Reprogrammer" ("Reprogram").

Wait until the end of the reprogramming procedure. Do not work on the vehicle during this operation.

Post-reprogramming operations

Reprogramming is now complete. Carefully read the instructions relating to the operations that must be carried out after reprogramming. Click on "Quittez pour effectuer les oprations de post-reprogrammation" ("Exit to carry out the postreprogramming operations") and carry them out.

This screen is used to view all of the operations carried out using the module Click on "Prcdent" ("Previous") and "Suivant" ("Next") to navigate. Click on "Retour" ("Back") to return to the home page screen.
