Global crude oil price of Indian Basket crosses 100 dollar mark on 25.04.

The international crude oil price of Indian Basket as computed/published today by Petroleum Planning and Analysis Cell (PPAC) under the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas has gone past $100 mark closing at US$ 100.64/barrel (bbl) on 25.04.2013. This was higher than the price of US$ 99.92/bbl prevailing on the previous trading day of 24.04.2013.

The crude oil price in rupee terms also moved up to Rs 5451.67bbl on 25.04.2013 as compared to Rs5425.66/bbl on 24.04.2013. This was due to price increase in dollar terms though rupee appreciation softened the impact of the price rise. Rupee dollar exchange rate on 25.04.2013 at Rs 54.17/US$ against Rs 54.30/US$ on previous trading day of 24.04.2013.
