Get chart paper from teachers lounge. Print Thanksgiving Then and Now reproducible for each student. Get book Oh, What a Thanksgiving! by Steven Kroll from library.

This social studies lesson is designed for 2nd grade students to learn about the four presidents on Mount Rushmore and some contributions of each president. This social studies lesson is designed for 2nd grade students to learn about a landmark in India, the Taj Mahal. The lesson uses the books Taj Mahal by Elizabeth Mann and Learn to Draw Structural Wonders edited by Heather Kissock.
