• Format: Interactive Session

o 30 Minutes talk with a simple PowerPoint presentation
o 30-45 minutes of interactive Q&A

• Objective: Help the students get started on their entrepreneurial journeys

and answer some common questions
o Why should I become an entrepreneur
o Do I have the right qualities of a startup founder
o Is my idea good
o How do I get the right team
o How do I raise money
o How do I get customers

1
and many more questions, that a startup founder faces

• Share examples of other Successful Entrepreneurs.

Part 2: Workshop on writing Business Plan

Creating Business Presentations and pitching your venture to people is an essential part
of a startup founder’s job. The audience can be angel investors, VCs, potential partners,
potential employees, potential acquirers, bar-campers, OCC guys etc.
The speakers has worked through quite a lot of presentations, has worked
on a number of presentation / pitches with start-up founders and of course did more than
30 versions of the business presentation and 80+ pitches for madhouse. Their experience
would be your advantage.

Part 3: Startup Roadies Programme

They absolutely love to meet passionate future entrepreneurs whose ventures are in idea
stage (not started, but want to really start) or 1-12 months into the operation. The
interaction will be completely informal. Formal dresses are not a must; we want to see
you as your natural self, no need to bring any presentations or any financial projections.
Just come have a chat with us. Get a demo if possible; get all members of your founding
team. Just ensure that you arrive on time

The goal of the exercise is to together discuss your idea, figure the best way to launch it
in a small way, so that you can get started. Let’s explore solutions to some of the “tough
issues” you are dealing with. We could do that by offering advice and potential solutions
based on our experience. They would also love to introduce you to relevant folks in their
network who can add value - potential partners, experienced people in similar domain,
potential investors etc.
At their end they are just excited to get an opportunity to meet you and learn from your
experience and ideas. Each session will be conducted in the below mentioned structure

• Where are we? (Get on the same page; understand the current status of the venture
/ idea)
• Team introduction
• Understanding your idea, market size, the problem you are solving, how is your
product/service different from current available solutions
• Figure out the current status of the venture - in development, alpha, beta, launched
• How much money is available to the team
• Where do we want to go? (what are we looking to accomplish in the coming
future)

2
• Discuss, debate and get clarity on the goals & milestones for
¾ Short term: 3 months
¾ Medium term: 1 year
¾ Long term: 3-5 years

• How do we get there? (the most critical part where we together come up with the
clear and measurable steps which will be taken to achieve the goals/milestones)
• Given the current status and various goals, what is the best strategy to get there
• How to proceed with execution
• Best way to raise funding
• Who are the folks to partner with
• Make a list of action items out of the interaction
