'So...what's going on ? ' ... ' Wassup? ' ...

generic questions that follow normal greetings, and the answer ranges from 'all is well', 'going on', 'great' and may be 'couldn't have been better' ... But among these formalities we don't literally mean to poke into other's life or what really are they up to. Being social is one great aspect of humans and we are generally friendly and rarely hostile (ofcourse unless driven by an agenda). Our brain is a fantastic super-computer as we do remember faces, voices, incidents whom we want to probably stay in touch with, relate to or would like to meet again. It processes with fair speed and accuracy ... information that needs to be re-called and it helps us look smarter and faster when such a situation arrives. So next when we meet someone whom we want to be in touch with, normal greetings apart, we try to gather more and that's when the bonding starts getting deeper (ofcourse other person has to reciprocate as well). Suddenly we are into a sub-program and your brain opens another folder with specific information for faster processing of all relevant information related to this new relation. Beauty is that while doing so, it tries to see if folder(s) with similar characteristics exist, parameters match, programming errors and bug fixes are done (at times forced) and internal antivirus is run to ensure system is clean and operating optimally. Nature is another example of an ultra super computer at work, which if imagined is running an OS (Operating System) designed to create, manage, enhance, destroy and recreate as and when it requires. We are the ultimate beneficiary, being on top of the value-cycle but will we stay on top for ever is not for us to decide but for the OS being operated by nature and it is imperative for us to be in the folder category of manage and enhance, for us to continue being in harmony with the OS. Not very sure, but in this OS, roughly humans are divided into sub folders called employees, entrepreneurs, farmers, workers, self- employed and few more. Being in one category doesn't guarantee success or superiority but simplifies the rules of engagements, like a farmer will be having similar challenges or advantages as another in same field though they may further be different in adapting or utilising their skills which may have impact on the yield. Employees with similar set of duties often end up giving different output even under normal circumstances. All entrepreneurs donot succeed, as few of them literally outshine most by huge margins. That's where Nature steps in and with it's OS gets into cleansing mode... It forces humans to change behavioural patterns, improve, become more adaptable, make amends or even force them to eject from the system. With Information coming at our finger tips, we can probably get more data, but if some comparisons were to be drawn, here is how mighty OS with auto-updates is impacting humans and other species over all All casualties globally (accidents, terror-attacks, military surgical strikes, health-related deaths) out number worst war of our times by decent margin on annual basis and yet we are looking at population numbers which are growing like ants. We are multiplying and resources around us are getting thin and scarce, so much is the impact that the barter system (including currency) depends on the demand-supply that if farmers stop producing just for one or two crops per cycle, we will probably witness street bloodbath which no nuke can compete with (so much for the nonproliferation). Multiple such end of world situations can be envisaged and even enacted but truth is that OS called nature will be with Humans till we are in harmony and humans continue to remain social beings at heart.
