BACKGROUND
As the college student, beside learning and lecturing at the university, we have to search everything about the development in petroleum industry and technology in the world, and lecture at the university isnt enough. We can get more knowledge outside the univer sity by searching on the internet or follow the guest lecture from the oil and gas industry. Also, we can find the answer from a case in petroleum industry in petroleum world, and the answer is from the experts in petroleum industry. Because of that, Society of Petroleum Engineers Student Chapter STT MIGAS Balikpapan (SPE SC STT MIGAS Balikpapan) will hold the first guest lecture in this period. The first guest lecture is dedicating for the new student of Petroleum Engineering STT MIGAS Balikpapan to welcomed them in the university and get an introduce about SPE SC STT MIGAS Balikpapan. Then, we can make a good relationship with the new students and share our activities to them. Also we can share our dedication to the university by inviting a professional from oil and gas industry to take some lecture that we cant get more in the lecture.
PURPOSE
Developing and increasing the students knowledge in oil industry world. Introducing about petroleum to the new petroleum engineering student of STT MIGAS Balikpapan Knowing about the recent technologies and innovations in oil world. Sharing information and knowledge among the students of Petroleun Engineering. Introducing Society of Petroleum Engineers to the student of STT MIGAS Balikpapan and make a good relationship with them. Finishing the work program of SPE SC STT MIGAS Balikpapan in a period in science planning

The Guest Lecture is about the first introduction for the new students of Petroleum Engineering STT MIGAS Balikpapan who have curiosity about what do they will learn in Petroleum Engineering. Because of that, SPE SC STT MIGAS Balikpapan holds this event.

PARTICIPANTS
The participants are the students of Petroleum Engineering STT MIGAS Balikpapan from year 2009 until 2012. Total participants in this event are 100 participants. The invitations are 5 people. They are Chairman of STT MIGAS Balikpapan, Chairman of Petroleum Engineering Department, President and Vice President of SPE Professional Balikpapan Section, and Faculty Sponsor of SPE SC STT MIGAS. The Committee of this events are the boards of SPE SC STT MIGAS Balikpapan that the students of STT MIGAS Balikpapan as the petroleum engineering students. Total Committee members are 7 people.
