ACADEMIC PROJECTS 1) M.Tech Final Year Project Name of the Project : Reputation-Based Security Protocol for MANETs. Client : CSE Department. OS Used : Linux/Windows XP Tool Used : NS2 Simulator Tool. Languages : C, C++, Tool Command Language script. Role : Developer/Tester. Project Description : Reputation based security protocol is to provide routing security for Mobile Ad-hoc Networks (MANETs). MANET is an emerging research area with practical applications. However, it is particularly vulnerable due to its fundamental characteristics, such as open medium, dynamic topology, distributed cooperation, and constrained capability. In general, secure routing in MANETs appears to be a problem that is not trivial to solve. In this project we have the routing security issues of MANETs, and analyze in detail one type of attack the Blackhole problem that can easily be employed against the MANETs. We also propose a solution for the identification of blackhole attack. We come with distributed reputation-based mechanism that improves security in MANETs. Some of optimization to the current reputation schemes used in MANETs such as selective deviation tests and adaptive expiration timer that aim to deal with congestion and quick reputation convergence. Two cryptographic mechanisms like Digital signature and hashing technique is used for the authentication of the packets in network. We design and build our protocol over AODV and tested it in NS-2 in the presence of variable active blackhole attacks. By using our protocol we can achieve increased throughput while delay and jitter decrease and converge to AODV. Responsibilities: Project Planning: Completely understanding the project, Module Description, Effective productivity. Development Plan: Test Plan: Performing unit testing, functionality testing & regression testing. Last phase: Verification/Validation.

2) B.E Final Year Project Name of the Project Client OS Used Tool Used : : : : Virtual Network Spy Search Engine. CSE Department. Windows XP2 Visual Studio 2008, Framework 3.5

Languages : ASP.NET Team size : 4 Role : Developer/Tester. Project Description : The major requirement is to develop a tool that helps in the administrator to manage remote machines on the network hiding underlying complexities of the network and the machines in the network. Virtual network spy search engine is a tool that monitors the memory, disk space, user of the system and his activities etc of all the system in a network and grabs the screenshots of all applications running on any machines in a network. We have one server process and client processes running on many machines in a network. We have certain modules in the client process that periodically report to the server about their available resources. We have modules for user name, time, process monitoring, service monitoring, desktop grabbing, memory monitoring, shut down, reboot, logoff, network information, and message. Goal of the project is to have control, track the systems that are connected in network. Responsibilities: Project Planning: Selecting a project, Synopsis Submission& Collecting Virtual network Information. Development: Implemented the project under DotNet platform. Report Generation: Testing Report & Project Report Test Plan: Performing unit testing, functionality testing & regression testing. Last phase: Verification/Validation.

3) Mini Project (6th Semester) Name of the Project : Internal Combustion Engine. Client : CSE Department. OS Used : Windows XP2. Tool Used : Microsoft Visual Studio, Visual C++ 6.0, OpenGL Languages : Advanced C. Team size : 2 Role : Developer/Tester. Project Description : This project is on the Internal Combustion Engine (ICE), in Computer Graphics using OpenGL functions. Internal combustion engine is a heat engine in which the burning of a fuel occurs in a confined space called a combustion chamber. This exothermic reaction of a fuel with an oxidizer creates gases of high temperature and pressure, which is permitted to expand. The defining feature of an internal combustion engine is that useful work is performed by the expanding hot gases acting directly to cause movement. For example by acting on pistons, rotors, or even by pressing on and moving the entire engine itself. The term ICE is almost all used to refer specifically to reciprocating engines, Wankel engines and similar designs in which combustion is intermittent. However, continuous combustion engines, such as Jet engines, most rockets and many gas turbines are also very definitely internal combustion engines. KEY STRENGTHS Self learning & Hard working Team Player Ability to learn quickly and accepting challenges. Flexible & adaptive towards diverse environments.
