FEATURES/APPLICATION
The IS-100A is a pain relief unit with adjustable analog control parameters. The unit enables a patient to accept an operation or treatment under his/her waking state without injection. This is achieved by controlling the percentage of N2O (laughing gas) in the (N2O/O2) gas mixture and the total flow of the mixed gas that is spontaneously inhaled by the patient. The end result is significant suppression of anxiety and sensation of pain during the procedure. Easy to use; no need for specialized equipment and does not require administration by an anesthesiologist. The density and flow of nitrous oxide /oxygen mixture can be adjusted during the procedure. Ideal for pediatric tooth extractions. Does not result in increased respiratory secretions. Will not affect breathing, the patient breathes independently during the procedure. Muscle relaxants are not required. The procedure is safe and reliable. The effects of the inhaled gas mixture ware off soon after administration of the gas mixture has stopped. Hypertension patients that use the nitrous oxide/oxygen inhalation device are stable; Vital signs such as electrocardiogram, blood pressure, pulse, respiration, and oxygen saturation remain stable during the procedure. There are no signs of stress-induced hypertension.
