LUTZ Elevators was founded by the engineer Hans Felix Lutz in Hamburg in 1927 . The proximity to the port inspired Lutz to develop technically innovative solutions for use in the shipbuilding industry, and the firm quickly developed a reputation in the marine elevator market. The founders son Hans-Jrgen Lutz and his wife Ilse Lutz took over in 1964. They developed the companys success on the principles of mechanical reliability, technical excellence and adaptability to the architectural environment. The factory at Reinbek, the firms permanent domicile since 1963, continued to grow. In the early seventies, Hans-Jrgen Lutz developed a strong after-sales service alongside the core elevator business. LUTZ Elevators after-sales service has since grown into a comprehensive customerfocused product range. Today the third generation is running the company. The priority remains to provide the customer with a first-class solution fulfilling every technical need, whilst respecting its architectural context. In other words, the firm remains true to its traditional values. At LUTZ Elevators we are not interested in anonymous products for the mass market: from shop-floor to management, we are committed to maintaining our name for top-quality technology and first-class service. A LUTZ elevator should speak for itself: contemporary design which aims for technical perfection in every detail. An international network of service partners forms the backbone of our worldwide guarantee. We provide full-service maintenance, safety inspections, spare parts service, class requirements as well as an emergency service. Project Management and Quality Control We are elevator specialists through and through. With our own development and production departments the company ensures that the complete process design, production, assembly and maintenance is in the hands of experts throughout.
