XXXX Centre for Community Arts - XXXX Job Title: Responsible to: Director Based at: Working: Salary: Purpose of post: To develop, accredit and facilitate training courses in line with XXXX remit and identified objectives. Co-ordinate training provision in partnership with education and training providers and enable skill sharing and professional and personal development. Job Description Training Delivery & Development Work: a) b) c) d) e) f) g) h) Development and accreditation of courses in response to community need Encourage community development through the participation in training activities Facilitation of training courses for XXXX Co-ordinate XXXX training provision Work in partnership with other training and education providers to provide a holistic service Identify progression routes for learners Publicity and marketing of training courses Supervision of volunteers and freelance trainers XXXX, xx xx hours per week xx Training Co-ordinator

Resource Management: a) b) c) To research and devise appropriate funding opportunities to support the delivery and development of a training programme at XXXX. To oversee and support student with their development budgets. Maintain an information resource for tutors/students.

Office Administration: a) Preparation of posters and publicity information. b) Production of own text, documents, and reports. c) Keep accurate statistical project records. d) Conduct regular evaluation of training, and liase with the team members to develop action plans as a result of this. e) Liaise and work with the XXXX Administrator.

General Duties: a) b) c) d) Liase with voluntary and statutory agencies, and attend forums and meetings as necessary. Promotion of XXXX and community arts generally. Marketing of XXXX courses to other agencies and potential partners. Any additional duties as deemed appropriate by the Director.

Skills and Attributes: Essential: 1) 2) 3) 4) 5) 6) 7) 8) 11) 12) 13) 14) 15) 16) Experience of facilitating and delivering accredited training courses. Experience of developing and accrediting training courses. Relevant training/teaching qualification (e.g., City and Guilds 730-6/7, Certificate in Education, or PGCE). Experience of office administration, knowledge of OCN accreditation / running accredited courses, or similar. Meeting recruitment and achievement targets and working to deadlines. Ability to work under own initiative. Good organisational skills, and the ability to prioritise own workload. Experience of team working. Experience of record keeping, and effective monitoring of statistics. Knowledge and/or experience of statutory and voluntary organisations and the Arts. Experience of managing budgets. Awareness of equal opportunities. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Energy, drive and enthusiasm.

Desirable: 1) 2) 3) 4) 5) 6) 7) 8) 9) Experience of managing freelance workers. Awareness of community arts. Experience of using a computer, and familiarity with word processing and desktop publishing packages. Experience of publicity and marketing of events. Flexible approach to working timetables and patterns as some work during weekends and evenings will be necessary. Awareness of health and safety, child protection and data protection issues. Experience of working as a volunteer, or supervising volunteers. To be prepared to attend relevant training as required. A car and a valid driving license would be an advantage.
