XXX MARKETING AND COMMUNICATIONS MANAGER MAIN PURPOSE AND SCOPE OF THE JOB To plan and manage the implementation and evaluation of XXXs marketing strategy to promote XXX and home-based XXX, incorporating brand positioning, events and printed and online publishing. To lead on the development of a strong and vibrant volunteer community to support XXXs work. DUTIES AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES A Marketing and publishing With the Director of Communications, develop, implement and evaluate strategies to establish and market XXX as a brand and home-based XXX to a range of stakeholders, including parents. To ensure that Membership and Professional Development and Operations Departments are supported to develop, implement and evaluate marketing activity focused on XXX and local authorities respectively. To oversee the production of all XXX publications and marketing materials to ensure they support XXXs diversity agenda and comply with its brand image and guidelines. To ensure that XXX maximises the potential of its online presence as a marketing and information resource and as a vehicle to engage with members and other stakeholders To lead, with input from Human Resources, XXXs internal communications plans to ensure effective engagement with staff. To oversee the management of all core XXX events, including the annual conference and XXX Network Seminars to ensure they contribute to XXXs objectives To lead on identifying and establishing strategic partnerships where appropriate to Marketing and Communications to support XXX to meet its objectives. Volunteer development To lead on the implementation and evaluation of XXXs volunteer strategy to support and develop XXXs volunteer community, including recruitment and retention strategies To ensure XXX Forum and Regional Forums are supported to operate effectively

To ensure that the policies and procedures that guide the work of volunteers are appropriate and up to date to improve consistency and manage risk. People Management To lead and manage the performance of the Marketing and Communications team by example, communicating effectively, coaching and developing staff and providing regular feedback, to ensure high levels of performance and that agreed objectives and targets are met. Business planning and management

To contribute to the Communications Departments work planning, including budgeting, financial planning and re-forecasting and inform wider organisational strategy. To be the budget manager for all Marketing and Communications team activity, monitoring the budget and ensuring variances are minimised and report on these to the Director of Communications. EXPERIENCE

Experience in a similar role at a senior level including: Successful track record of managing marketing strategies and the production of materials, including web and print Working with volunteers Collaborative working with external partners and agencies People management and development Budget management.

Educated to degree level or equivalent Evidence of CPD with demonstrable relevance to the services managed
