so I know I want a world which is inside an animal cell, and here I begin to imagine; these are my first thumbnails, and though they dont accurately represent what I want visually in my world, at this point I decided to have a cell which is a world that has all the organelles; they might not be accurate to the positioning or the structural arrangement, but I wanted a world it to be emersive

My Vision
The goal of the animation is to be a short video which refreshes the memory of students about the Eukaryotic Cell, and the functions of the organelles My Artistic Vision was to have a dream like world which was almost like an Alien planet, it was also meant to be all happening in the head of a student, and I wanted to show this by taking the viewer out for couple seconds in the animation; I attempted this by stopping the flow of the animation and drawing out text which represented the students revision, this ended up ruining the experience as the viewers have no vested interest in the Student, it later felt like I was the only one who would be able to take something out of this feature After publishing the animatic, it was evident that the travel through the world was more important than being the mind of the student, I still was able to show that this was all happening in the head of the student by overlaying static over sections, it may look like a cool effect and mean nothing to the viewer but it was more for my personal satisfaction

Influences
I looked to various artists who created colourful trippy images, this was what I vaguely imagined my world looking like, as you can see form the images on the left I was going for a combination of trippy vivid images with a Sci- Fi twist to it. Dark Purple was a colour that kept with me through the project, its what I think of when I imagine something alien

I needed to look back at my Lysosome and Gogli because of their design, it seemed that theyll be the most difficult to model, so I set out plans and made myself familiar with the designs

The important part of my animation was the environment, here I was faced with a big challenge as it was my first time working with Environments in 3D. I created the Terrain using a plane with an Ocean Shader applied to it, I then lifted the data from the ocean Shader using the Height Field Utility in Maya, and played around with settings till I got a Mountain Type Turrain I liked

Lighting; I didnt want there to be many lights in my scene so didnt want to experiment waste time with rendering frames with different light shades, but one important note, was the lighting of my organelles, I wanted to have a spot light on each of them as the camera rotated around them, but as shown above, theres light which brings the model out, though this was effective I wanted the organelles which surrounded the Nucleus to sit back, I wanted to make sure the Nucleus was that much magnificent
