1.1 This method statement describes steps to be followed before and after, the activities/operation of repair works to be carried out on (honeycomb, cracks, etc.) concrete surface prior to application of the protective coating on it. 2.0 SCOPE 2.1 All concrete works repairs, which are having major & minor honeycomb, fine cracks. 3.0 REFERENCES 3.1 Construction Specification and Design Drawings. 3.2 SES B51 S01 3.3 000-10S-0006 3.4 C-06.00.01 -1 Cast-in Place Reinforced Concrete Plain & Reinforced Concrete Specification Inspection & Test Plan for Civil Works PART

4.0 DEFINITIONS 4.1 None 5.0 PROCEDURE 5.1 Responsibilities 5.1.1 The Civil Supervisor and/or Foremen are solely responsible for arranging the required temporary works, materials and installation works. 5.1.2 The QC Civil Inspector shall ensure that approved quality control procedure is implemented. He shall coordinate with Client Representative regarding inspection and testing activities. Documentation of all inspection and tests made shall also be his responsibility. 5.2 Tools 5.2.1 Hand held tools. 5.3 Construction Materials 5.3.1 The material to be used for the repair of major & minor honeycomb, fine cracks, spalls, etc. shall be degauss (MBT) product "CONCRESSIVE 2200" which is high strength, non flow,

epoxy bedding and repair mortar. For more details, please refer attached Data Sheet for above product. 5.4 Applicable Standards The Above product complies with the International Industrial applicable Standards, like ISO 9001, ISO14001 and OHSAS 18001. Repair will be done as per Para. 7.17 of SES Cast-in-place reinforced concrete -SES-B51-S01 REV. 3. 5.5 Repair Works Execution The following procedure shall be followed while repair of under ground concrete surface: 5.5.1 The concrete surface shall be inspected after removal of forms to check the depth and size of repair to be done. 5.5.2 The concrete surface shall be made free of oil, grease, and all loose particles using hard brush & dry cloth. 5.5.3 After the surface is fully dry, surface shall be made smooth & plane by filling all honeycombs, irregularities & holes using approved two component epoxy mortar (CONCRESSIVE 2200) using scrappers/ steel trowel. Trowel can be dipped in solvent to make the mortar more workable. 5.5.4 For proper mixing of one pack (3kg) trowel can be used but in case more packs to be mixed at a time it shall be mixed using electric drill fitted with paddle. The mix shall be used within 1 hour and 45 minutes at 25C and 45 minutes at 40C. 5.5.5 Finished surface can be made smooth by using paintbrush dipped in cleaning solvent No. 2. 5.5.6 After 24 hours (min. 7 hours for tack-free) when the surface has completely dried, sand, clean the surface prior to apply primer coat(NITOPRIME 31) 6.0 DOCUMENTATION 6.1 Concrete Repair Checklist- C137Ar. *****
