HIGHLIGHTS Since his election in 2008, Councilman Green has sponsored six ordinances or resolutions approving, expanding or amending tax credits--none of which had overall caps on future obligation to the City This is the first tax credit since 2008 has voted NO. Since his election in 2008, Councilman Green has voted YES on every tax credit bill signed by the Mayor except for the LGBT Equality Bill. Seven times since 2008, Councilman Bill Green vote YES to create, expand or amend tax credits--None of which have an overall cap protecting the City from overuse. Councilman Bill Green has supported tax credits for: losses incurred in providing affordable housing, film industry incentives, job creation, prisoner re-entry hiring incentives, veteran hiring incentives, and internship creation. Councilman Oh introduced a Veterans job creation tax credit (with no cap) and voted for a job creation tax credit which includes $5,000 per year for ex-offender hiring. Councilman O'Neill sponsored the former and voted for the latter.
