Sermon Notes - Other News From the Family Camp Committee: Registration forms for this year's camp are now available! You can find a copy in your church mailbox. We will be making some changes to camp this year! Please notice that camp is scheduled to run from Tuesday dinner through after dinner on Thursday. We will be making other changes as well, planning fewer scheduled meetings and allowing more time for family activities and relaxation. We think you'll enjoy it, so make plans to attend! If you have any questions, feel free to ask one of the committee members. Monarch FRC is planning their Berechiah Junior Youth Camp for August 1-3, 2013. This camp is for youth ages 12-16 and will be held at the same location as last year (Gladstone Mountain near Bearvermines, Alberta). The speakers this year are Student Ian Macleod and Pastor Scott Dibbet. The bulletin board in the narthex has more details for those interested in attending. Mission Update The education project in Cubulco and outlying Aldeas is being managed by AMG with its years of experience. This does not mean that the Mission is completely free of the project as we will be giving support for the first year or so. The goal is that this project will get the necessary support through a sponsor child program, possibly with the involvement of Word and Deed. A vocational school is on the radar. This is still on the list of goals, but there is no further development at this time. However there is a request from the indigenous people for opening a Junior High School in one of the Aldeas and this request is getting serious attention. Please pray that a way can be found for this to happen. http://www.frcmissions.org/ The Annual Dutch Day will be held Tuesday, May 14, 2013 DV in the Providence Free Reformed Church in St. George. As Rev. B. Elshout is unable to attend due to his wife's illness, Rev. A. DeGroot from the Springford Reformed Church has been invited to speak. He will speak about the church father Augustine. Coffee will be at 9:45 AM and the morning session will begin at 10:30 AM. Everyone who understands the Dutch language is welcome. You are invited to a Brass and Voices concert in our sanctuary on Friday, May 17 at 7:30 PM. A brass band, brass quintet, and vocal ensemble will perform a variety of hymns and sacred songs. A collection will be taken for the Trinitarian Bible Society's Spanish Reina Valera Bible revision project. _________________________________________________________________ _________________________________________________________________ _________________________________________________________________ _________________________________________________________________ _________________________________________________________________ _________________________________________________________________ _________________________________________________________________ _________________________________________________________________ _________________________________________________________________ _________________________________________________________________ _________________________________________________________________ _________________________________________________________________ _________________________________________________________________ _________________________________________________________________ _________________________________________________________________ _________________________________________________________________ _________________________________________________________________ _________________________________________________________________ _________________________________________________________________ _________________________________________________________________ _________________________________________________________________ _________________________________________________________________
