A. Summary of the Lesson Plan: (2 sentences) This social studies lesson is designed for 3 rd grade students to learn about making maps using the instructions given. This lesson uses their imagination about a garden. B. Target Population: (3 bullet points) Grade Level: 3rd grade Skill Level: students at all learning levels Grouping: whole group instruction C. Objectives: (bullet points) o NV State Social Studies Standards o G5.3.5 - Construct a simple map including a title, symbols, and directions from a bird's eye view.

E. Procedure: (numbered steps) 1. The teacher will go over the components of a map from previous days 2. The teacher will explain to students they will be planting a garden in the near future. They are going to be creating a map of it. 3. The map should be neat and organized and include: peppers, tomatoes, carrots, and lettuce.
