A key priority of Shell Philippines Exploration (SPEX) B.V. is on Contractor Health, Safety, Security, and Environment (HSS&E) Management The SPEX Contractors Safety Officers (CSOf) was established last 28th January, 2011 to look after HSS&E at the Frontline Workforce level CSOf is composed of SPEX Contractors HSSE Managers and Officers, each representing their own contractor organizations At the start of the year, SPEX CSOf and their respective Contractor Managers are gathered, for the SPEX Asset Manager and Managing Director to set expectations and discuss HSS&E Plans and Priorities Partnership in our Commitment to deliver a common goal, ZERO Incidents!

SPEX Contractors Safety Officers (CSOf) Objectives

Purpose
Alignment in Health, Safety, Security, and Environment (HSSE) approach, to achieve a common positive safety culture amongst Shell Philippines Exploration (SPEX) B.V. Contractor organizations.

Objectives
To utilize its members to form working groups and be force multipliers into closing system gaps; To support and participate in SPEX HSSE programs to achieve Goal ZERO Incidents; Increase the profile of the CSOf Organization for them to improve their identity at the worksites; Build capability and capacity of the HSSE Officers; Encourage more interaction and information sharing among members; And promote camaraderie amongst members and influence positive change

SPEX Contractors Safety Officers (CSOf) Methods & Description

A SPEX CSOf Technical Working Group (TWG) was established, to operationalize the steer from the SPEX Leadership Team and the Contractor Managers, for all the CSOf Members

SPEX CSOf meets in a monthly general assembly to discuss updates on the plans and priorities, establish successful practices sharing, and strategize on how to deliver the HSS&E programs and campaigns

Members of SPEX CSOf act as the big brothers of their wider organizations, to promote and encourage the culture of HSS&E, with the ultimate objective of embedding it in the hearts and minds of their workforce

SPEX CSOf participates in regular SPEX HSSE Leadership Forums, to deliver performance updates and status of the expectations from SPEX and Contractor Managers, via two-way feedback
