TITLE OF THE STUDY


A STUDY ON ANALYZING THE FINANCIAL WORKING CAPITAL MANAGEMENT AT KARNATKA SOAPS & DETERGENTS LIMITED (BANGALORE)

STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM


To find out the importance and meaning of the data in the financial statement so that proper evaluation about the past activities may be made and a forecast may gainfully be made about the prospects of earning, dividend, ability to pay interest, etc and to identify financial and operational strengths and weaknesses.

OBJECTIVE OF THE STUDY


o To analyze the working capital of the company. o To understand the movement of profit over a period of time. o Assessments of Past Performances and Financial Position. o To compare and evaluate the financial soundness of the company. o Prediction of Future Performance by using trend analysis techniques.

METHODOLOGY OF THE STUDY


The methodology adopted for the study is collecting the required data from the official and employees and the other information required for study are collected from the records maintained by company.

SOURCES OF DATA COLLECTION


The study is based on both Primary data & Secondary data. Primary data source Primary data are collected by personal interviews of staff and secretary. Secondary data source o Audit report o Annual reports o Websites o Books and journals

PLAN OF ANALYSIS
The analysis of the research would be carried out with the help of various Tables, Charts, and Graphs etc. to interpret the data collected. The charts, tables etc. would give an insight about the different statistics and position of the organization, which would be easy to understand and hence compare the various factors. Other figures and diagrams may also be used if needed to carry out the research work. Various assumptions will be made wherever it is needed.

SAMPLING
Sampling is the selection of some part of an aggregate or totality on the basis of which a judgement or inference about the aggregate or totality is made. It is the process of obtaining information about the entire population by examining only a part of it.

Fundamentals of sampling
o Universe/Population o Sampling frame o sampling design o statistics and parameters o sampling error o precision o confidence level and significance level o sampling distribution

RELEVANCE
o To understand the flow of working capital of the company. o It helps me to analyze the liquidity, profitability of the company which helps me to evaluate financial health or soundness of a company.

LIMITATIONS
o Analysis is based on the data provided by the company and managers will be reluctant to reveal their financial data. o Time constraint o The financial statements are generally based on historical or original cost and the current economic condition is ignored.
