(TE 301) Why does the United States trade with banana producers in Ecuador? (TE 301) What are some good the United States imports? (After paragraph 2- p. 301) Why do U.S. companies export goods? (TE 302) What are trading partners? (After paragraph 1- p. 303) Why is China and important trading partner for the United States?

5. CLOSURE: Discuss the three statements in the Review and Assess section of TE 303. F. Assessment: What will you use to measure student understanding? Students will think critically about what they think would happen if the United States stopped trading with other countries. Students will write a journal entry about their thoughts into their notebooks. Explain how you will know students understand the concepts from the lesson. Students will explain the barter and monetary trade between two countries through their explanations of the importance of trading. G. Reflection: 1. Which part of the lesson do you think will be the easiest for you to teach? The easiest part of the lesson will be the group reading and discussion. This lesson is something I have a lot of background knowledge on to aid my students in gaining a better understanding. 2. Which part will be most challenging for you to teach? Although I may not find anything challenging, but some students may get confused on the meaning on import and export which will result in students having difficulty finishing the study guide. 3. How will you follow up or extend this lesson? As an extension to the lesson, I would use Extend Lesson 2 (p. 304-305) about A Bike from China. 4. What will you do for students who dont grasp the concepts?

I would go back and do the Reteacher Minilesson found at the bottom of TE 303. Together, we would make a fill out the Venn Diagram comparing and contrasting import and export. 5. Which part of the lesson, if any, do you think might need to change? I think the lesson is pretty straightforward and easy to follow. I would not make any changes. 6. When you were writing this lesson plan, what was the most difficult part? After writing the other two lesson plans I had a pretty easy time creating this lesson plan. Im catching on quickly and find the format to be easily followed.
