Machine Components
AME machine components are precision engineered for accuracy, long life, and optimal load-carrying capacity. These precision components are designed to perform as expected every time. AME engineers can make sure you get precisely the right components for your specific application.
AMLOK RCH (Hydraulic) and RLN (Pneumatic) Rod Clamps provide power-off clamping on rods and
shafts, controlling common problems such as over travel, drift, bounce and reverse travel. The clamps are actuated by a spring mechanism and unclamped by hydraulic or pneumatic pressure. These rod clamps are designed to hold components securely in place after motion has stopped. Holding force depends on rod and piston diameter, and can be multiplied by attaching additional AMLOK clamps to the same rod.
Spieth Adjustable Locknuts provide vise-like locking without washers and keys. Nut face square with threads. Inch and metric. Spieth Clamping Sleeves provide keyless, shrink-fit
shaft connections. When axially compressed, Spieth clamping sleeves expand to provide a concentric shrink-fit connection between shaft, sleeve and hub. Inch and metric.
Spieth Adjustable Hydrodynamic Guide Bushings allow accurate guiding of axially or rotoaxially moving machine components on shafts, quills, boring bars and more. When adjusted, a preloaded hydrodynamic guide is achieved. Inch and metric.
AMBUSH Hydraulic Squeeze Bushings clamp moving shafts to fixed housings and are capable of highly efficient clamping. Standard sizes 10mm 300mm (I.D.) with special sizes up to 600mm (I.D.) and 1,000mm length. Fixture, machine tool and general machine applications. Inch and metric. OTT Precision Worm Gears for backlash-free, highaccuracy index table applications. Excellent for use on CNC machines.
SITEMA Safety Locks are similar to Safety Catchers but with essential differences in the attributes of the clamping system. Rather than catching falling masses, Safety Locks are used for securing horizontal and vertical drives. Holding force is initiated by springs but completed by the load itself through the systems unique self-intensifying clamp design. Available for rod diameters from 12mm. SITEMA Locking Devices are used for clamping rods in applications that require fixing against external operating forces. They withstand forces exceeding 1500kN. The energy required for the clamping action is generated by pre-tensioned springs or by hydraulic or pneumatic pistons. Release is by hydraulic or pneumatic pressure. Locking available for rod diameters from 12mm to 250mm. SITEMA Safety Brakes are designed to hold a moved mass in one direction (against gravity). The mass is held to a round shaft, which could be an existing cylinder rod or a separate rod. High holding force is provided by the load itself thanks to the systems effective, self-intensifying clamp design. Pneumatically operated, for vertical loader axis or vertical/diagonal machine tool axes.
Series CCA Advanced NFPA-style Cylinders with Integrated AMLOK Rod Clamps provide
high locking force to hold a rod in any mid-stroke position. Clamping is accomplished with spring force, eliminating the possibility of drift due to lack of air pressure. Clamping is released by air pressure, max 60psi.
Spieth Hydraulically Actuated Guide and Clamping Sleeves allow automatic and concentric
guiding and clamping of quills, shafts, bars, and support posts. Inch and metric.
Spieth Hydrodynamic Expansion Gibs reduce the cost of machining and scraping, reduce vibration and chatter, and compensate for minor machining inaccuracy on machine slides. Inch and metric.
ODU Electrical Connectors provide precision interconnects for medical, scientific, automotive, heavyduty industrial, computers, electronics, circuit boards, telecom and other applications. Single contacts, cylindrical, modular, PCB.

Fixturing Solutions
Workholding is a core competency at AME, and it shows in our expansive North American facility. Here youll find horizontal and vertical CNC machine centers, CNC ID/OD grinders, massive coordinate measuring machines (CMMs), and an extensive inventory of offthe-shelf components for modular or dedicated fixtures and assemblies. AME also provides a complete suite of dedicated engineering services including fixture design, repair, replacement, machine integration, shop floor implementation assistancein short, everything you expect from a world-class workholding partner. No matter what kind of fixture you need hydraulic or pneumatic, dedicated or manual, for machining or inspectionAME can deliver.
Top: High performance CAD systems are used to design and verify custom workholding configurations for any type part Right: Four-station dedicated hydraulic fixture holds four parts per station using on-machine hydraulics.
AMFLEX Self-Aligning Fixture Elements (S.A.F.E.) feature self-aligning ball elements that
automatically adjust to the contours of a workpiece, virtually eliminating the effects of parts distortion during machining.
S.A.F.E.-Lock Fixture Plates can be mounted quickly and securely on any AMFLEX grid base. The plates mount horizontally or vertically for dedicated machining. TRIAG Modular Workholding Systems
combine the characteristics and performance of a dedicated fixture in a platform that is completely modular and can be retooled as needed. TRIAG base rails mount to AME standard grids. AME is the exclusive U.S. distributor of TRIAG products.
Contract Inspection at AME features two large DEA coordinate measuring machines (CMMs) to inspect very large partsliterally up to the size of a pickup truck. The CMMs operate in a temperature controlled facility to ensure extremely precise measurements. Computer-Aided Design/Build Services are
available for special machines and components. AME designers can work for you or with you to develop expertly designed fixtures, machines, handling equipment and systems.
