FBU pensions fightback

Our general secretary Matt Wrack is calling for a fightback against the governments attack on pensions and mass sackings under capability. FBU activists at all levels of the union need to do everything possible to support this call. We need to build the biggest possible yes vote for national strike action, but how will we do this? Our fringe meeting will discuss the attacks FBU members face and how we build an effective response. We can share experiences and ideas about how to build our campaign and develop a network of activists who can stay in touch with each other developing resistance throughout our union. The fight to defend pensions is part of the wider fightback against austerity. Uniting our resistance and co-ordinating our actions with all those who are fighting cuts in jobs, pay and benefits makes sense. The TUC is consulting on a general strike our fringe meeting will discuss how we can support this call by building our own fightback.
