Whereas the primary mission of the Acclamator I was to transport the new clone army, the Acclamator II was designed as an all-purpose assault vessel. As such, the Acclamator II had double the weaponry of the Acclamator I, as well as modestly improved maneuverability and shields. This increased combat ability came at a cost, however, and although still able to carry a large number of troops, the Acclamator II carried less than half the clone troopers of the Acclamator I. Far fewer Acclamator IIs were produced than Acclamator Is, partly because they were introduced late in the war, and partly because they fulfilled a similar mission profile to both the Victory-class and Venator-class star destroyers. After the Clone Wars the Acclamator II Assault Ship was gradually phased out of the Imperial arsenal, although some Acclamator IIs remained in Imperial service in low-priority commands well into the New Republic era. Most Acclamator IIs were either mothballed, or sold to regional governments, including the Corporate Sector Authority, and the Centrality.
