Model #: 1132
Board Details
Sampling rate select between 4 to 8 Khz. Default keep it at middle (6 Khz). With 8 Khz sampling, audio quality is good but total duration is 30 seconds only. LED ON = Record Mode LED OFF = Play Mode
Stereo Socket for External audio input. If no stereo pin connected, on board MIC is used for recording. Message Mode Selection switch
Record/Play Indicator LED Speaker Out Reset switch only used in TAPE mode
All eight trigger input are brought out at this terminal along with power supply pins, so you can use a external trigger like microcontroller at this pin to provide low trigger. Also you can power this board from +5V/GND marked pins
Features
Single chip, high quality voice recording and playback solution User friendly, easy to use operation Non - Volatile - flash memory technology, no battery backup required 4-8 Khz adjustable sampling rate Audio output to drive a speaker or audio out for public address system Can record voice with the help of on-board microphone or via any audio input like PC

Getting Started
To start using the board, you will need to provide regulated +5V DC to the board and connect a speaker to board. Before power on the board select a message mode through mode select switch. There four types of message modes.

Total duration of 60 second of chip is divided into 8 messages of 7.5 second each. Total duration of 60 second of chip is divided into 4 messages of 15 second each. Total duration of 60 second of chip is divided into 8 messages of 7.5 second each.

TAPE MODE
If no external audio is connected to stereo pin, onboard MIC will automatically be used for recording. Select sampling rate, The preset can adjust between 4 Khz to 8 Khz. The higher sampling rate the lower total duration. The lower sampling rate the higher is duration. For 8 Khz sampling total chip duration is 60 seconds. For 4 Khz sampling rate total chip duration is 30 seconds. You can leave the preset at middle position for 6 Khz sampling rate which is the default setting. In this mode you will get total duration of around 45 seconds. Power on the board now. Let us assume message mode 8 was selected above. Which will give us 8 messages of approximately 5 seconds each message at 6 Khz sampling rate. Put the SW2 (REC mode switch) to Record Mode. The record mode is indicated by a LED D1 above the switch. If D1 LED is off means the board is in Play mode. Push it once to toggle between PLAY and RECORD mode. While in record mode LED D1 will glow indicating its in record mode. Record mode here does not mean recording has started. It just decides what happens if you press SW1 to SW8. While in record mode press SW1 to SW8 to select a message segment to record the message. Let us assume we want to record message1, so we will press SW1 and will keep it press. Now whatever we speak will be captured by MIC and recorded. The LED D2 next to the IC will blink in record mode indicating that chip is currently recording. Once duration in full the LED will stop blinking means that segment is full. The SW1 switch can now be released. If before the duration is full this switch is released, then that many seconds are recorded and rest duration is kept empty. Now let us check what we recorded. Put SW2(REC mode switch) to Play Mode. D1 LED above the switch will go off indicating play mode. Press SW1 once to play back the recorded message in message segment 1. Same method for recording in Mode 2 & Mode 4. For Tape mode please see below pages.
