MALAYSIAN TRIAGE CATEGORY(MTC)

Triage Category GREEN Response Assessment and treatment start within 90 minutes. Description of Category The patient's condition may deteriorate, or adverse outcome may result, if assessment and treatment is not commenced within one hour of arrival in ED. Symptoms moderate or prolonged. or 8. There is potential for adverse outcome if time-critical treatment is not commenced within hour. or Likely to require complex work-up and consultation and/or inpatient management or Humane practice mandates the relief of discomfort or distress within one hour. 9. Fracture with severe deformity of upper limbs and ankle. post seizures pt. is stable with one episod of seizure and temp < 38. Capillary Blood Sugar - High but is asymptomatic.

G2 Patients requiring initial management or First Aid before being seen by doctor. 1. All stable upper limb fracture and ankle fracture requiring immobilization. 2. Minor dislocation able to walk e.g.involving jaw and extremities. 3. All patients requiring catheterization (Acute Retention of Urine). Foreign Body removal and pressure bandage. 4. POP complication. 5. Moderate bleeding but stable and need dressing. 6. Partial thickness burn Adults < 10%, paediatric < 10%. 7. Eye pain with blurring of vision. 8. Staff Hospital Pitas. G3 Patients who can wait. 1. Minor injuries e.g. Soft Tissue Injury. 2. Moderate ureteric pain. 3. Acute gastroenteritis with stable Blood pressure. 4. Hyperventilation able to walk. 5. Partial thickness burn 10% - 15%. 6. Nail prick.

G4 OPD(cold cases) seen at Emergency Department. 1. All trauma patients > 6 months. 2. Fever less than 38 degrees in children aged between 2 years to 12 years and adults < than 65 years. 3. Skin disease except Stevens-Johnson disease, exfoliating dermatitis, urticaria and allergy. 4. Back pain but stable. 5. Slight abdominal pain but able to walk with vital signs stable. 6. History of vomiting. 7. Food poisoning but patient is stable.
