Heres a couple things we know about the month of May: First, May marks the beginning of summer and a Texas summer is usually HOT and long, but if you kept to your New Years resolution to be a gym rat, then nows your time to shine. Youre not going to be the guy in the pool with a t-shirt on this year, nope. Some of us use the summer to travel and make more memories in life. The rest of the lucky ones just continue the year-round work/ school grind while were looking out the window, sad and salty, thinking about how we never get a real summer anymore. Speaking of school, the second thing we know is that its graduation season. Those four or five ormore than five years you spent here are coming to an end, and thats great because its over! Now all you have to do is survive the real world and try not to end up back at your parents crib.

6 STUDENTS FIGHTING THEIR WAY TO THE TOP REVEAL THEIR DREAMS AND PLANS TO MAKE IT BIG
Professionally I started at 17, but as a little girl I set up modeling shoots with my little sisters every other day and would walk all around the neighborhood for good spots with my disposable cameras!
What has been your favorite gig?
I did an Evil Eve inspired shoot with a 6-foot snake! I wore a vine corset, leather pants, crazy eyelashes, and laid in a pool of ivy with the snake wrapping itself around my body!
What are your thoughts on selfies?
I do them all the time. Gotta practice. NO SHAME! Duck faces? Not a huge fan.
What do you see in your modeling future?
Im not too sure how far I will take this, or how far it will take me! I would LOVE to travel around the world modeling. I have been given opportunities to model abroad, but the timing hasnt been right yet.
What advice would you give to aspiring models?
Get experience. Love what you do. Start meeting people. If you have everything it takes, hook up with a wonderful agency! 12 | MAY 2013 | STUDYBREAKS.COM

NOA BELILLTI: Saving the Earth One Bean Bag Chair at a Time
When we first saw Noa Belilltis bean bags, we couldnt take our eyesand later, assesoff em. Not only are Green Beans bean bags ridiculously comfortable, theyre also environmentally friendly, which is a concept we can definitely get behind. Noas rapidly expanding company outfitted the Google lounge during SXSW, and who knows where people will be lucky enough to lounge next. For now, we suggest you snag your own Grean Beans bagbut not if you ever plan on getting up, like, ever. Describe Green Beans:
Green Beans is a bean bag chair company that is saving the world, one bean bag at a time. Consciously making an effort to apply the reuse part of the recycling triangle, we take materials that cannot biodegrade in the environment, that are being produced in mass quantities and taking space in landfills, to create new, comfortable alternative furniture.

of an ocean, never todisintegrate back to the earth. We cannot ignore that these materials exist; we can only learn how to put them to better use until all production of the material has ceased.
Where do you see your company in the future?
We are helping to spread recycling and reusing awareness, but mostly by actively intercepting these materials that would otherwise end up in a landfill or float along the surface
I see Green Beans bean bags in living rooms, in dorm rooms, at tailgates, as the seating at events, camping, and in so many other settings. Once you sit in a Green Bean, then you get it. The comfort is undeniable, and it feels good to know that you are helping mother earth.
How did you get the idea to make and sell your product?
Well, I took a sewing class and a visual merchandising class here in spring 2011; I learned some sewing basics and about store atmospherics. Martha Stewart was just the final push behind my business.
But why bow ties?
The idea came when I was in a parking lot with a couple of friends. I was making bow ties for my friends just for fun back then. We were just talking and then one of them [was]
Just start. You have to realize that you have everything you need around you to start a business of your own.
What are you working on next?
Who knows! I always like toying with new ideas and concepts, so well see.
I make and sell bow ties, simple as that. Custom, handmade bow ties. But then, I expanded into making wedding invites, so now its a little bit funny.
being really persistent on making a business out of it. I seriously thought it was going to be one of those ideas that falls through. But it didnt, surprisingly, and Im still really amazed at my business.

I grew up in Ghana, Africa, and back home, I had about two clothing lines. It wasnt anything major, just a high [schooler] with ambition and zeal trying to make a couple of extra bucks doing what I love. I used to buy blank t-shirts, paint on them and sell them to my classmates. It was very successful all through high school, and then I had to come over to the states and continue college. First, I took the time to study life around here, the opportunities, and, you know, everything I could gather, to help me establish a clothing brand.

I really wanted to do something unique and out of this world. It took me about a year to finally come up with the idea of a Square Neck T-Shirt. And finding a manufacturer, the funds, and the materials are another part of the story, but I wont even go there.
What plans do you have for Certified Dress Code? Where do you see your lineinfiveyears?
I have a gazillion of them (if thats even a word). But on a serious note, I do have a lot of plans for the brand, and each day I make the point to take a step closer. In five years, I see Certified Dress Code LLC as a major worldwide luxury clothing brand.

I created Shoppe Blanc with the vision of a small boutique. I wanted it to have that small, close-knit feel that boutiques normally have, and you never see that online. One thing Im working on is making sure Im representing a variety of body types in my pictures, so that my customers dont have to wonder how it will look on them versus how it looks on the model.

For Scanther, we kept seeing rudimentary and unprofessional-looking signs pop up in restaurants and coffee shops that contained a QR code linking to the businesses Facebook and Yelp pages. Whoareyourinspirationsandidols?
My inspiration/idols are successful entrepreneurs and innovators such as Mark Cuban, Steve Jobs and Elon Musk. These people have worked terribly hard to get to where they are today.

Age: 19 Height: 58 School: Southern Methodist University Major: Business Management & Spanish Relationship Status: Single One thing that impresses you when youre out on a date? When a guy is comfortable being himself! I love if my date is just being real with who he is. Whats the creepiest move a guy has ever tried to pull on you? I was at a party and this guy kept following me around. I was super sketched out by it, so my friend and I decided to test it and hide in the bathroom for a second. When we came out, he was waiting by the door and asked for my number before he even knew my name! Needless to say, I said I had a boyfriend and peaced out! What are your plans after Graduation? Living in LA and running car dealerships! All-time favorite TFM or TSM? Louboutin red, ritual white, Tiffany blue. TSM.

Dont get marriedlet everyone else do it first. You dont want to be the first one to get married, trust me. Play a shit ton of golf. Golf is the universal language of business, other than money, of course. Get good at it, and youll be landing job offers, clients and climbing the corporate ladder with every drive, approach, chip and putt. For the love of God, dont move back in with your parentsever. Your parents will judge your social, drinking and sexual habits. Also, good luck trying to convince a potential hookup partner to come back to your parents house at closing time. Get your shit together and grow up. Live in a bar district. You have the rest of your adult life to live in the suburbs. This is where the magic happens in your city. Be a part of it. Schedule an annual reunion weekend with all of your friends. Every town has awesome pub crawls, fundraisers and sporting events every year. Invite all of your friends one year and watch the feathers of debauchery fly. Travel. Im not talking about those weekend trips to see friends, Im talking about going to places in the world youve only seen on TV. Set aside some money each year to go somewhere badass and turn yourself into the envy of all your Instagram followers. Dont live with your best friend. Instead of spending the weekends out on the town with one another, youre the first person you and your friend see after you wake up and after every depressing day at the office. Economize your happy hour. You cant just start drinking when it gets dark anymore. You have to be economical about your alcohol intake during the work week. Start drinking at 6, pound some waters and Advil, and be in bed by 10. Limit your visits to your college town. It sounds crazy, I know, but dont turn into the guy or gal that comes back every weekend. Quit living in the past, unless all of your friends stuck around for a victory lap. Never go more than three months without taking a weekend trip to visit one of your friends. Get as sloppy as possible for 48 hours, bar hop, eat a bunch of pizza, crash on the couch and relive the glory days.
