HP does not ship DVI-I cables, because the digital monitors work with a digital signal. Hence the DVI-toDVI cable can be either Single-link or Dual-link DVI-D to DVI-D cable. There are two types of DVI to VGA converters:

HP DVI to VGA Adaptor, which requires an additional VGA-to-VGA cable to complete the connection setup.

HP DVI to VGA Cable, which is an end-to-end cable that will connect from DVI-I video output from the desktop to the VGA Monitor input.
