Seniors prepare to take nal bow

The bittersweet process of finishing our last days in high school is here. Next Thursday, my fellow seniors and I will graduate. Less than a week from now, our high school careers come to an end. Less than a week from now, reality fades in. Less than a week from now, we begin the rest of our lives. I have been alive for over 17 years; however, life is just getting started for us seniors. Sure, these last 17 years have been fun, but graduation sparks a whole new aspect of life that most would call the real world, and I did not lie when I said the situation is bittersweet. If youve been in my position, you know what being a graduating senior in high school is like. For some, its not that big of a deal. They jump through the hoops, get their required credits and storm on out of high school without even looking back. For others, things are about to get a bit emotional. Think about it: its your last few weeks of doing something that you have are accustomed to doing for the past 12 or so years (Of course were talking about k-12 education here). Then, all of sudden, that big moment that you have imagined since you were just a little one comes at

you faster than a slapshot at the hand of Pavel Datsyuk. If you havent reached senior year of high school yet, let me tell you about the chaotic reality of this level in the game called life. It may seem odd to some, but I have become attached to my school; the outgoing students, incredible staff, exciting events, activities and even the building are all things that I have learned to love. the positive atmosphere of the building. If youve ever been in our building, you might notice how much of a professional environment it is. To actually have all of the resources necessary to teach and learn is something that the staff and student body couldnt be more thankful for. I must say, I am grateful to be a part of the class of 2013. We are the first senior class of the new building and I believe we have influenced the underclassmen in a positive manner. In other words, we have done a stellar job performing as the rest of the schools role models. In the month of May, there were/are several events for seniors to plan for: cap and gown distribution, senior recognition night, final exams, senior prom and the famous senior party. Of course we have plenty on our plates, but we are seniors... we got this! As my blog series with the View comes to an end, I want to thank those students at Belleville High School who I have known for making these last four years the best that they could possibly be. It has been a fun ride, and without the incredible individuals that are or were a part
