MOM'S HOMEMADE CHILI WITH BEANS

1 lb. ground beef 4 tbsp. chili powder 2 tsp. salt 1 tsp. sugar 1 lg. chopped onion 1 green pepper, chopped 2 cans tomatoes 1 c. water 2 tbsp. salad oil 2 tbsp. flour 2 cans pinto beans or kidney beans Brown ground beef; add chili powder, salt, sugar, onion, green pepper, tomatoes, and water. Simmer until all is cooked. Add rest of ingredients, mixing flour with liquid from beans for thickening. NOTE: Great recipe for a cold winter day - double the recipe and Invite some folks for dinner!

QUICK HOMEMADE CHILI


2 tbsp. oil 1/2 clove garlic, minced 1 lb. ground beef 1 (15 1/2 oz.) can kidney beans 1/2 c. chopped onions 1/4 med. green pepper, chopped 2 (8 oz.) cans tomato sauce 1 tsp. salt 1 to 2 tsp. chili pepper Brown meat, onion, garlic in pan. Add beans and green pepper. Pour tomato sauces. Add salt and chili powder. Simmer over low heat, about 45 minutes.

QUICK HOMEMADE CHILI


2 tbsp. oil 1 clove garlic, minced 1 lb. ground meat 2 (15 oz.) cans red kidney beans, undrained 1/2 c. chopped onion 1/2 c. chopped green pepper 1 (16 oz) can tomato sauce 1 tsp. salt

1 1/2 tsp. chili powder Cook onion and green pepper slightly in the oil. Add ground beef and cook until meat loses its red color. Add beans, tomato sauce, salt, chili powder. Simmer over low heat, stirring occasionally, about 20 minutes. Yield: 6 servings.

QUICK HOMEMADE CHILI


1 lb. lean ground beef 3 cans kidney beans 1 can diced tomatoes 1 med. onion, chopped 1 clove garlic, minced 4 tbsp. chili powder Brown and drain ground beef, put into large pan. Add remaining ingredients, stir. Cook at medium heat until starts to boil, cover and simmer for 2-3 hours, stirring occasionally.

CHILI FOR HOT DOGS


1 lb. lean ground beef 1/4 c. oil 1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste 1 c. water 1/4 tsp. salt 1/8 tsp. sugar 1 tbsp. vinegar 1 tbsp. mustard 2 tbsp. catsup 1/2 c. chopped onion 1 tsp. chili powder Combine ground beef, oil, tomato paste, water, salt, sugar, vinegar, mustard, catsup and onion in large saucepan. Simmer over low heat 4-5 hours, stirring frequently. Add chili powder. Cook until very thick with rich brown color, stirring frequently. This is delicious over hot dogs or hamburgers. Freezes well.

CHILI MEAT SAUCE FOR TEXAS HOT DOGS


2 lbs. beef, ground very fine 1 c. chopped onion 1/2 c. chopped green pepper 1 clove garlic, minced 2 tsp. chili power 2 tsp. dry mustard

2 tsp. sugar 2 tbsp. vinegar 1 can tomato sauce 2 tsp. salt 1/2 c. water 1 c. catsup Brown the ground beef, pepper, and onion slowly then add the remaining ingredients and simmer for 20-30 minutes. Can be frozen.

CHILI HOT DOGS - TEXAS WIENER SAUCE


1 lb. ground beef 2 cans tomato paste 5 tomato paste cans of water 1/2 sm. can chili powder Dash of sugar 1/2 tsp. salt 3/4 c. finely chopped onion Combine all ingredients in crock pot and cook until thick, about 4 hours. Serve over hot dogs. Serves 2 dozen hot dogs.

HOT DOG CHILI


1/2 lb. ground beef 1 tsp. chili powder 1/2 tsp. salt 6 oz. ketchup In a saucepan, add a small amount of warm water to meat and mash thoroughly with a fork. Add other ingredients and simmer for 10 minutes. Serve on hot dogs or hamburgers.

CHILI SAUCE FOR HOT DOGS


1/2 lb. ground beef 1 1/2 c. water 2/3 tsp. salt 3 tsp. chili powder 1 tsp. paprika Combine all ingredients and cook over medium or low heat for approximately 30 minutes. Thicken as desired with flour or cornstarch. Serve over hot dogs.

RUBY'S CHILI FOR HOT DOGS

1 1/2 lbs. ground round or chuck 1 can tomato soup 1 can tomato sauce 1/3 c. ketchup 1 onion chopped (1 lg. or 2 sm.) 1 1/2 tsp. salt Dash of pepper 1 tbsp. chili powder 1 sm. can water Mix meat and liquids well. Add water, bring to a boil, stirring often. Turn heat to low and cook for 2 hours. Keep well stirred, add more salt and chili powder if needed.

ROZELLA SMITH'S HOT DOG CHILI


1 lb. ground beef 1 1/2 c. water 1 med. onion, chopped 1/2 c. tomato ketchup 1 tsp. salt 1/4 tsp. black pepper 1/4 tsp. (scant) red pepper 1 tbsp. dry mustard Mix all together and simmer 1 hour.

EASY HOT DOG CHILI


1 lb. ground beef 1 can tomato soup 1 med. onion, chopped 3-5 tbsp. chili powder Salt and pepper to taste Catsup to taste Brown ground beef with onion. Drain off drippings, add tomato soup, chili powder to taste, salt, pepper, and catsup. Simmer for 20 minutes.
