During this four weeks of school you have been studying some Spanish... I came to this class only one week ago. Now we have to restart... 1. I am going to introduce myself in Spanish. You have to listen to me and complete the information bellow:

Ahora vivo en San Francisco, en La Mission, un barrio muy.................................

As I imagine some of you, the students from Spanish 1 are not getting all the information, so please, people from Spanish 2 I would appreciate your help. 1. Follow my example, write a little paragraph about yourself. Try to follow a simple structure, tell us where were you born, where have you lived, where are you living at the moment, where have you studied, what are your favourite subjects.... like this:

After finishing it you are going to tell the whole class in loud voice your own history. When all of you are done I will be asking each of you. I will follow our attendance list...so, please, be prepared for your turn.

ESTRATEGIES ESTRATEGIAS
From now on in the Spanish Class we will be following a simple structure. Our main objective will be to learn the Spanish Language in an appropriate manner. We will develop writing strategies and reading strategies. We will also learn how to speak properly and we will learn interesting things about all the countries where the Spanish is spoken.
De ahora en adelante en las clases de espaol seguiremos una estructura muy simple. Nuestro objetivo principal sera aprender la lengua espaola de un modo apropiado. Vamos a desarrollar estrategias de escritura y estrategias de lectura. Tambin vamos a aprender a hablar adecuadamente y aprenderemos cosas interesantes sobre todos los pases en los que se habla el espaol.

The structure we will be following: MONDAY: Grammar + Writing Strategies TUESDAY: Vocabulary + Reading Strategies WENDSDAY: Music and Films + Listening Strategies THURSDAY: Review + Cultural Topics FRIDAY: Quizzes + Tests

You are expected to complete your binders every day following the different sections you already have.
Se espera de vosotros que completeis vuestros archivadores cada dia siguiendo los diferentes apartados que ya teneis.

We will be doing practice at the class every day. Your active participation is expected, the only way to learn a language is using it.
Todos los das haremos trabajos de clase, ejercicios y escritos. Se espera que participis activamente pues una lengua tan slo se aprende empleandola.

CLASSROOM RULES
I am going to refresh your brains about this tough point. You shoul behave properly, all of you know this. You have to follow school rules and also my instructions. You have to do so.
Voy a refrescaros el cerebro sobre una cuestion algo espinosa. Debeis comportaros correctamente, todos lo sabeis. Teneis que segir las reglas de la escuela y tambien mis instrucciones. Lo teneis que hacer.

1. First Warning. Verbal warning. 2. Second Warning. I write your name on the board. 3. Third Warning. You go outside the classroom. We have a little chat. 4. Fourth Warning. You go to the Think Tank and spend the week there. After the class I go to the Think Tank and you call your parents and tell them about the incident. 5. Fifth Warning. I call your parents and talk to them 6. Sixth Warning. Spanish class suspension
1. 2. 3. 4. Primer aviso: Aviso verbal. Segundo aviso: Escribo tu nombre en la pizarra. Tercer aviso: Vas fuera de la clase. Tenemos una pequea charla. Cuarto aviso: Vas al Think Tank y estas alli el resto de la semana. Despues de la clase yo voy al Think Tank y tu llamas a tus padres y les cuentas el incidente. 5. Quinto aviso: Yo llamo a tus padres y hablo con ellos. 6. Sexto aviso: Suspensin de la clase de espaol.

You are expected to keep this information in your binder and not to lose it. The instructions are clear and I dont want any of you out of this class.
Se espera con conservis esta informacin en vuestros archivadores y que no la perdis. Las instrucciones estn claras y no quisiera a ninguno de vosotros fuera de esta clase.
