Turboprop Trainer
Luxembourg Flight Training
Academy
LFTA, Luxembourgs largest and most active aviation club, use
the Ascent Turboprop Trainer to provide MCC courses and
IR training to their students as part of their ATPL curriculum.
The device allows LFTAs instructors to address all the specific
problems that may occur during their candidates training before
testing their flight skills on a real airplane.
The ATT is configured as a Beechcraft King Air 200 with
conversion kits to multi and
single engine piston.
Ascent
XJ Trainer
FTA
Australian Flight Training Adelaide has successfully completed
the In Plant Acceptance for their second Mechtronix Ascent XJ
Trainer during the month of March 2013.
The device will be used on one hand for traditional jet transition
training and MCC, and also for the second phase of Multi-crew
Pilot License (MPL) training. The students following the MPL
path will then transition to phase three in the A320 FFT X where
they will further develop their flying skills.
The Ascent XJ Trainer integrates
a suite of advanced avionics such
as TCAS, eGPWS, FMS and weather
radar to familiarize students with a
highly automated flight deck as well
as the performance of
todays jet aircraft.
