Our Company Mold Craft has been designing and building successful, high volume, single and multi-cavity, multi-mold projects for small intricate plastic and metal injection molded parts since 1964. Our molds have been designed and fabricated to produce parts for drug delivery, surgical devices, body implants, and dental products as well as consumer products and telecommunication connectors for well-known manufacturers allowing automation and reduced cycle times for their molding processes. Our Opportunity Join our skilled Design Engineering team consisting of a combined 84 years of experience in the injection mold building/designing industry. Perform Design Engineering on Mold Craft projects. Communicate with customers to incorporate their design intent into mold design and manage relationship through design phase. Purchase components for molds and perform data entry for Epicor ERP system. Communicate with production departments and provide support throughout production process; provide design consulting and support; track progress on all projects. Actively develop skills required for Design Engineers to deliver the Mold Craft Advantage. Key Responsibilities: Design all types and sizes of molds for customers Communicate directly with customers to understand their needs and create mold designs that meet their requirements Purchase components for molds and perform data entry for Epicor ERP system Provide guidance and support to production departments on specific molds Outsource custom components Customer required certified dimensional inspection Transfer design to production and communicate through to project conclusion Maintain inventory of spare components Monitor Engineering department correspondence to promptly address customer inquiries, issues, and changes Assist Estimating by performing RFQs for live jobs and concept work Use strong analytical and systems focus to create and improve Design processes and procedures Assist in evaluating software and computer systems/hardware; assist with implementation, maintenance, training, and troubleshooting where appropriate Participate in weekly Design Engineering team meetings Perform other duties as requested by Management Key Requirements: Two to four year degree in Mechanical Design, Engineering, or related field

One to three years Design experience designing injection molds One to three years experience running Design/CAD software One to three years Design experience in mold-making Knowledge of SolidWorks design software Knowledge of Microsoft Office Software (Excel, Outlook, Word, Access) Excellent geometry skills; understands effects and reactions of geometry Strong mechanical and problem solving aptitude Highly organized, meticulous, detail-oriented, and conscientious; able to stay on task for long periods of time Results-oriented with proven ability to multi-task, organize, plan, and prioritize work to meet deadlines Works best in a team-focused, dynamic, and fast-paced work environment Communicates effectively across all organizational levels with management, employees, vendors, and customers Applies sound judgment and creative problem-solving skills to complex problems and business challenges Shows positive attitude and personal pride in work with a passion for perfection Strong work ethic with an unwavering commitment to quality and professional results Mold Crafts largest investments for the future is in its people and equipment.
