Xchange Scotland Global Education Project

Xchange Scotland is a charity based in Govan, Glasgow. One of our aims is to promote young people empowerment through Global education. This project includes non-formal educational activities, geared towards promoting Active Citizenship and Intercultural Understanding, through Global Educational workshops. This will involve delivering a range of activities:- 20 Group Workshops [4 hours duration] To explore the concepts of Citizenship and Intercultural Understanding, to be delivered to a range of groups in a variety of settings (formal and non-formal environments). 3 Global Education Action Days Creative Activities to take place at large events, such as Fairs and Festivals, allowing a wide range of people to sample our work. A Global Education Weekend - Training weekend to discuss these issues and share ideas; for folks keen to engage with young people and communities through non-formal educational tools and for others interested in the field of Global Education.

What
We'll bring together people with an interest in Global Education and those keen to learn more about it. We'll build on the existing workshops - Intercultural Understanding (Saturday) and Active Citizenship (Sunday)- to make the most of this experience. We view this as an excellent opportunity to find future deliverers and to collectively review the existing workshop model. We hope this will be the perfect time to share different understandings and approaches to Global education and non-formal education!

Participation fee
15 (including food and accommodation) Everyone has to organize and pay for their own travel to and from Comrie
