In my last update, I spoke of building our Staff/Team Dorm. We now have a more accurate quote from the contractor and this is the biggest financial endeavor the Lord has asked us to do to date. $17,675 is all we need to complete this building. We will not shrink back! We have, by Gods grace, established this compound in a short time. Less than a year from setting foot on the land for the first time, we now have two 15-foot-square buildings, one for my home, which I share with Brendah, our capable nurse. The other, our office, is housing our male staff. God gives great visions so that we may learn to trust Him more. He will be praised, even more, as we walk through the steps ahead and He shows Himself faithful to build this ministry helping build this new nation of South Sudan.

New Project - Cultivate Life

Pure and undefiled religion in the sight of our God and Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their distress... James 1:27a
to bring restoration of health and hope to the poor and lost of the nations, by way of the saving grace of Jesus Christ, for the Glory of God

In the light of Gods command to care for widows and orphans, He has directed WoH to purchase a tiller and start Cultivate Life. We will be tilling land for widows and those raising orphans in their homes. In turn, they will pay back into WoH with a portion of their harvest. The work of digging is labor intensive. Can you imagine clearing a field and turning the soil with just a hoe? Tilling saves time and energy and will increase planting areas thus decreasing poverty and starvation. Food security! Because of this help, higher yields will be possible and these families will have enough harvest to take to market to help supply the other needs of the household.

I want to thank Pastor Jacob Lee from Reaching Africas Unreached (RAU) for allowing us to put this tiller on their container that should arrive later this year. RAU will be serving the people of Northern Uganda, South Sudan and Congo with pastors training, healthcare and a Christian school. WoH is truly blessed to have these new friends in the area this year to spread the fame of Lord Jesus! I look forward to years of fellowship, friendship and partnership with these wonderful people.
