INTRODUCTION

The term family as defined by AdellePelliteri is the basic unit of the community. All members should have to maintain a healthy lifestyle status. Each family member must have a disease free body. The health of the family is considered as a whole based on public health perspective. Family health office is tasked to monitor health programs which would help each family attain the proper knowledge concerning their health. It is concerned with the health of the mother to the unborn, the newborn, the infant, the adolescent and the youth, the adult men and women, and also to the elders. Salvacion G. Bailon-Reyes stated that Community Health Nursing is a field of Nursing Practice delivered outside of purely curative institutions like hospitals but in community settings such as the home, the school, and place of work, health centers and clinics. As student nurses, our goal is to enhance, improve and promote health care. We focused to our respective families and widened our scope towards the whole community to bring out their major concerns. The community involved in this study consists of one hundred thirty five (135) households and a total of five hundred ninety six (596) residents of Barangay SitioGulod in Mayamot Antipolo City.
