Canadians always celebrate Canada Day on July 1st, and people in the United States always celebrate Independence Day on July 4th. Veterans Day in the U.S. and Remembrance Day in Canada are always on November 11th. Other holidays are on different dates every year because these holidays are on certain days of the week. For example, in the U.S. and Canada, Labor Day is always on the first Monday in September. Thanksgiving Day in the U.S. is always on the fourth Thursday in November. In Canada, Thanksgiving Day is on the second Monday in October. Many other U.S. holidays are always on Monday: Martin Luther King, Jr. Day in January, Presidents Day in February, Memorial Day in May, and Columbus Day in October.
