Brief
A collaborative project with Marty Edwards producing a range of studio notebooks aimed at creatives for every day studio use.

Overview
As designers we have a wide variety of creative challenges so we based a brief on producing notebooks which adress these problems through formats and grids. We have focused our products on Image makers, type designers and general creatives.

Logo
The logo has been designed simple and informative with the idea to apply across a wide range and fit into a variety of formats across a range.

Typography
The typeface Akkurat has been used for the branding and body copy. It is both clear in body copy and sits well as a header font.

Stock
To break up the large range we have selected a variety of stocks as a colour key. Range of Green is aimed at image makers and general drawing where the range of brown is aimed for type designers or more rigid grid based design. The yellow has been selected to stand out from all of these to produce the diary notebook.

Range

Print finishes
All the notebooks have been debossed with the graphic notebook logo for a subtle touch.

Belly bands
Each notebook has a grey belly band which shows its specific grid and notebook specifications.

A3 Pad
The pistacio A3 pad is a plain paper pad aimed at general drawing and image making.

Field notes
The field notes has been printed at an A6 format with line paper inside stock to allow it to be pocket size idea for any time note taking.

CD
The CD has all notebook grids in a digital format to allow for grid use in a digital format.

Studio notebook
The studio notebook has been printed with a hard bound yellow cover with variation sections aimed for everyday organisation purposes.

Grid book 1
Grid book 1 has been printed with a standard sqaure format grid to allow for structured drawings.

Grid book 2
Grid book 2 has been printed with traingle format grids to allow for three-dimensional drawings.

Grid book 3
Grid book 3 has been printed with an x-height grid to allow for type drawing keeping space for acenders, decenders and gutters between lines of type.

Web Point of Sale

We wanted to make sure that the website was as similar to the products as possible this meant making the enterance page a clean cut, to the point style opening page which flicks through various images of the books. The next page is the shop page and it has all the images set in a duo-tone and if you hover over an image it rolls over into full colour. This is another clearly laid out easy to navigate page.
