Area of assignment: RHU Municipality/Province: Labrador, Pangasinan

I.Activities: For this month of June, I was assigned at the main health center under Mrs. Victoria Querubin, I assist her in her different activities in the center like pre-natal check up, immunization, and also in her TB-DOTS patients. She have also taught me on how to accomplish her different records/reports. Another highlight is that, our municipal health officer have oriented us on the updates on immunization such as the 5-in-1 vaccine or the penta- vaccine, together with the schedule of giving BCG and Hepa B vaccine to the newborn. II.Learning/Insights Immersing yourself with the people around you is very important especially to those you served or what you call your patients in the community because it will help a lot in creating a great opportunity to reach out with them,address their priority needs and give you more knowledge on their current situation specifically their health concerns,like those high risk pregnant mothers, undernourished children and other needy people in the community. III.Issues/ Concerns: Sometimes we get confused on the different rules and regulations that are implemented in the health center and also with our work or role in the health center as RN HEALS . IV.Recommendation: I hope there will be a monthly convention/meeting of RN HEALS together with the DOH representatives and also with CHD head in order to discuss the different issues and concerns that we encountered in our area of assignment as well as to update us on the different trends and issues.
