Ms. Gilmore stated she may be with her boyfriend, Zack Fry, or her friend Ashley Thompson. Ms. Gilmore read several text messages between her and her daughter throughout the morning, the messages from Shayla said that she was fine but needed some time away. Ms. Gilmore said Shayla was upset over being grounded and not being able to see her Zack, Ms. Gilmore also said she would get rid of Zack''s horse, which may have upset her more. Ms. Gilmore stated Shayla was likely not in any danger. Shayla was still contacting her mother via text messages at this time. Ofc. then contacted Shafter Gilmore. Mr. Gilmore stated he dropped Shayla off at school at 7:30 this morning. Shayla was supposed to be leaving school at 8:56 this morning, but when Mr. Gilmore arrived to pick her up at 8:40 AM, he found she had already left. Mr. and Ms. Gilmore stated they had contacted the Chillicothe High School to report this incident. A school employee told Ms. Gilmore they did not know who Shayla left with. Ofc. tried the number for Zack Fry provided by Ms. Gilmore, but was unable to get through. Ofc. requested the Ross County Sheriff''s Department to attempt to contact Zack Fry at 20544 US 23N Lot 38. Ms. Gilmore said Ashley Thompson and her mother were recently evicted from their residence on Water Street. Ofc. was unable to locate Ashley Thompson or find a current phone number.Nothing further at this time.

Officer contacted Mr Farris reference a disturbance involving a cellular phone. He advised Officer that one of the subjects eating in the cafeteria thought someone had taken his phone and Mark Boyer who was with the subject started creating a disturbance over it. He said Mr Boyer was screaming and calling different people thieves and saying no one was leaving until he finds his friends phone. Mr Farris said the other subject left and Mr Boyer continued ranting and raving for a few minutes. He said he would like Mr Boyer contacted and warned that if he created another scene that he would be barred. Officer then contacted Mr Boyer about his conduct. Mr Boyer apologized to Mr Farris about his behavior and stated it would not happen again. Officer warned about his behavior and advised him if Officers had to return reference his causing a problem that he would be barred from the property. Mr Boyer stated he understood and left without incident. Officer advised Mr Farris if there were any further problems to contact this department. He stated he understood. Nothing further.

Upon arrival Officer made contact with loss prevention Treiva Cottrill and Mendy Kellough along with the accused Laura Potter who was holding a small plastic package. Officer seized the package and found it contained 2 1/2 pills that are consistent with the size, shape color and markings for xanax. Officer seized the pills and photographed them and they will be placed into evidence. Treiva said she observed Laura walk in to the jewelry department and remove a watch from a box and place the watch in her purse. Laura then took mascara and place it in her pocket and wrap a package of lip stick inside of a Kmart Ad. Laura then took two bathing suits and women''s underwear and place them inside of her purse. Laura personally observed Laura walk passed all points of sale and out the South Doors with out paying for the merchandise. Treiva and Mendy stopped Laura after she reached the side walk. Treiva said she was able to recover all merchandise as Mendy called the Police. Mendy requested to have Laura barred from the store. Officer photographed the stolen items and left them in custody of Kmart for safe keeping. The total value of the items stolen by Laura is $88.22. Officer contacted Laura Potter and read her the Miranda Rights which she said she understood. Laura began tell a story and Officer asked her "what did you do here today?" Laura said "stole those items" as she pointed to the stolen merchandise laid out on the table. Officer asked Laura what the blue pills are and Laura identified them as Xanax and stated, "I do not have a prescription for them, I got them from a friend." Officer advised Laura she is now under arrest and arrested her for Theft and Possession of Drugs. Laura was transported to the Ross County Jail where she will be held in lieu of bond. Laura was advised of her court date on Friday 5/31/13 at 9 am. Officer also advised Laura she is now barred from all properties of Kmart located at 1470 N Bridge St and if she returned then she could be cited or arrested for Criminal Trespass, Laura said she understood. Officer then arrested Mr. Hammond for Disorderly Conduct Intoxication for his safety and the safety of others. He was taken to the Ross County Jail and was issued his mm citation for Intox., ticket number 09-4139. His court date is June 10 2013 at 9am in the Chillicothe Municipal Court.
