COMPUTER SPARE PARTS CONTROL SYSTEM SYNOPSIS

The project entitled Computer Spare Parts Control System is a windows application developed for M.V Computers situated at Coimbatore. The project has been designed and developed using Visual Basic 6.0 with MS SQL Server 7 for database creation. It is platform independent. It maintains availability, movement and order status information on all the items. It thus becomes an important support tool for sophisticated material planning. Parts control system provides accounting and reporting tool that can maintain high level of accounting accuracy. It maintains purchase order status to provide effective order tracking and purchase control. Modules Description : 1. Parts Transaction Details: This option is used to create a number of transaction levels from Various transactions such as purchase, purchase return, sales, sales return, pro-forma invoice, positive adjustment, negative adjustment etc. 2. Parts Product Details : This section is helpful to create number of product groups for

various items that the dealer is purchasing from different suppliers, thus helping the dealer t o differentiate each and every item separately. 3. Parts Item Details : The item details are entered through this window. Any number of items can be stored into the database through this option. 4. Parts Common Part Master : The required quantity of parts for the particular model is selected using this form. 5. Parts Rate Master Maintenance : The NDP rate inward cost, retail price, tax price, non tax price, sales discount, purchase discount of a particular item selected can be altered through this window. 6. Parts Rejection Master : The rejection details of the parts are stored using this form.

7. Parts Customer Monthly target : Monthly Target for an agent can be set using this window. 8. Parts Bill of Material / Kit Marketing : For a particular item selected, the required items are added along with the code description, location, Product type and the required item quantity, for bill of material and kit marketing. The purpose of the system developing is to provide better convenience in manipulation of the activities, grouping them and manage the task efficiently.
