Patni Computers is one of the leading support provides for the clients in US and Europe in the field of Banking, IT, Finance etc. Involved in supporting US based client. The client environment has entire breadth of technologies including Solaris, Windows, and Linux, Tru64 platforms, Oracle, Sybase, SQL, LAN and server free backup mechanisms. This project involves centralized backup management across two sites including disaster recovery protection for catalog data and includes over 50 servers in integration. Ours is three tier Architecture i.e. we have a master with 4 media servers and nearly 200 clients. We have ACSLS and L700 tape libraries in our environment. ACSLS has 30 drives configured and L700 has 20 drives configured, these Libraries are attached to the media servers. Worked in a two-member team from Off shore where I was responsible for majority of the configurations of NetBackup Master/Media servers located at various sites, implementation of server free backups. Responsibilities:
