London Metropolitan University teaches more than 30,000 students from their campus. They wanted a facilities management business partner who could make a difference. They needed the provider to be highly accountable and transparent about their performance against SLAs at any given time.
London Met receive a joined up, dynamic service from Norlands dedicated team of skilled engineers and technicians. The team is fully integrated into University life and is backed up by specialists in QHSE, HR and Energy.
Suffolk One is a flagship centre of learning for 16 -19 year olds. Costing 65million, it provides state-of-the art teaching for around 2,000 students. Norland has taken full responsibility for the core mechanical and electrical infrastructure and fabrics work on the campus. This includes planned and preventative maintenance for critical power, lifts, cooling, lighting, fire systems, heating, air conditioning and ventilation.

London South Banks mission is to provide an excellent service to students cost-effectively. We selected Norland to provide M&E, fabrics maintenance and reactive repairs across our 23 building campus. They play a critical role in ensuring London South Bank is attractive to our students. In line with our sustainability targets we are using Norlands expertise to explore ways to reduce energy consumption.

Universities and colleges are often large organisations with significant energy consumption and carbon emissions. Norlands team of energy advisors are on hand to help you identify new opportunities to reduce your energy consumption and make savings within an acceptable payback period. This work may include metering strategies, voltage optimisation, energy efficient lighting, pipe and valve insulation and photovoltaics. Southampton Solent University (SSU) were looking for a new Facilities Management provider capable of instigating a step change in service delivery, systems and processes. They selected Norland as a provider with a track record of integrating with University staff and who could work hand-in-hand with the SSU estates team to translate the SSU strategy into a successful hard FM delivery. The contract includes a planned maintenance programme covering 32 academic buildings and 8 halls of residence accommodating 2,500 students.
