TRAINING DIVISION 1.

PRINCIPAL LECTURERS/ SENIOR LECTURERS/ LECTURERS FOR NAUTICAL STUDIES & MARINE ENGINEERING COURSES (PRESEA & POST SEA) The Job An educationist role, able to engage with students and effectively deliver lectures on Navigation & Seamanship, Meteorology, Magnetism & Gyro, Ship Construction & Stability, Marine Power Plant and Electrical & Electronics Engineering depending upon the area of specialisation. Must be able to creatively translate the knowledge into teachable learning points as well as conduct practical training classes outside the formal classroom environment. Be involved in all aspects of education, training and academic activities including student management. To contribute towards course development & curriculum design, course evaluation and student assessment. The Person Candidate must possess at least a Certificate of Competency Class 1 Deck Officer (Master Mariner) AND/OR Degree in Nautical Studies/Nautical Science. Certificate of Competency Class 1 (Chief Engineer) AND/OR Degree in Marine Engineering/Degree in Marine Technology/Naval Architecture/Ocean Engineering. Service on Chemical/LNG Gas Tanker and/or Offshore Vessels with Dynamic Positioning unit would be an added advantage. 2. LECTURERS The Job Design, prepare and develop teaching materials. Deliver lectures, tutorials and presentations at seminars. Assess student's coursework as well as setting and marking examination papers. The Person Candidate must possess at least a Degree/Master in Mathematics/Physics/ Mechanical Engineering/Electrical Engineering or any relevant field.

SENIOR INSTRUCTORS / INSTRUCTORS The Job An educationist role, able to engage with students and effectively deliver lectures on subjects related to Mechanical Engineering/Welding/Lathe Machine/Marine and Offshore Safety or Catering. Be involved in all aspects of education, training and academic activities including student management. Contribute towards course development & curriculum design, course evaluation and student assessment. The Person Candidate must possess at least a Certificate/Diploma either in Mechanical Engineering/Welding/ Lathe Machine/Marine and Offshore Safety/Catering. ADDITIONAL QUALITIES FOR TRAINING DIVISION Teaching experience is a definite advantage. Passionate about education and people development. Fresh graduates and sea-going officers (Certificate of Competency Watchkeeping Engineer Officer or Watchkeeping Officer) are encouraged to apply.

CORPORATE DIVISION 1. MANAGER, STUDENT AFFAIRS The Job Plan, manage, control and enforce students regimentation program, discipline, welfare and hospitality services accordingly in line with ALAMs vision to be a leader in maritime education & training. The Person Candidate must possess at least Certificate of Competency Class 1 Deck Officer (Master Mariner) AND/OR Degree in Nautical Studies/Nautical Science /Education. Minimum of 7 years working experience in related field including Student Management, Hospitality and Catering Services. Broad understanding of Maritime & Education training industry would be an added advantage. 2. SENIOR MANAGER, BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT The Job Develop and implement policies, procedures and system on the operation of the department. Develop and execute strategies on marketing programs to meet MMAs revenue targets.

Maintain and expand customer base by constantly keeping abreast of the market for business opportunities. Conduct feasibility study and set up operations for new business opportunities. Assist to establish the business growth of MMA locally and overseas. Work closely with the Heads of Departments to formulate and implement strategies and actions to achieve sales and marketing objectives. Create new and maintain existing businesses through direct customers contact and conducting sales and planning activities. The Person Candidate must possess at least a Degree in Business Administration, Marketing or Finance. MBA is an added advantage. Minimum of 7 years working experience with at least 2 years in Managerial capacity Ability to lead and coach team members. Must be conversant with Maritime Education Training or shipping industry. Must be willing to travel. 3. EXECUTIVE, BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT / EXECUTIVE, SALES AND MARKETING The Job Plan, execute, analyse and implement MMAs sales & marketing strategies and initiatives to ensure revenue targets are met. Build and maintain friendly reciprocal and warm relationships or network of contacts to achieve work-related goals. Prepare monthly reports pertaining to current business performance of MMA. The Person Candidate must possess at least a Degree in Business Administration/ Marketing/Finance or relevant field of study. Minimum of 3 years relevant working experience. Knowledge in maritime education and training industry would be an added advantage. Demonstrates commitment and a broader understanding of the business beyond a single function. Generate ideas and solutions with some creativity and laterality of thought. Must be willing to travel. 4. EXECUTIVE, HR PLANNING AND DEVELOPMENT The Job Responsible for Manpower Planning and Budget, Performance Management System, Training and Development, Industrial Relations, Employee Relations, Compensation and Benefits etc. Co-facilitate the organisation design and structure. Plan and organise job analysis and job evaluation exercise post organization structured design.

The Person Candidate must possess at least a Degree in HR Management or any relevant field. Minimum of 3 years working experience in related field is required for this position. Good knowledge in Manpower Planning and Budget, Organization Design and Job analysis. Good interpersonal skills and facilitation skills. 5. SPORTS INSTRUCTOR The Job Create awareness and understanding of fitness, motor skills, sports psychology, sports science, sports injury and nutrition. Explain and enforce safety rules governing sports, recreational activities and the use of sports and exercise equipment. Identify the needs, plan and implement suitable training programmes and provide differentiated instruction for various ability grouping. The Person Candidate must possess a recognised Degree in Sports Science or professional qualifications in the relevant field. Have attended formal training on teaching or 1 to 2 years of teaching experience will be an added advantage. Strong drive and highly motivated. ADDITIONAL QUALITIES FOR ALL POSITIONS High degree of integrity, maturity, professionalism and loyalty. Strong leadership qualities and good interpersonal skills. Good communication and presentation skills. Good command of both spoken and written English.
