Rocky Tekulve
Rocky Tekulve, MS., ATC., is owner and operator of Tekulve Acceleration Training. A graduate of McNicholas High School, Xavier University, and Ohio University where he earned a Masters degree in Sports Medicine. Rocky has personally trained and rehabilitated thousands of local athletes from junior high to professionals. He has published articles in leading research and orthopedic journals concerning injury prevention, conditioning, performance enhancement and rehabilitation. As published in the S e p t . / O c t . 2 0 0 0 issue of The American Journal of Sports Medicine , athletes who trained at Tekulve Acceleration Training utilizing the first level of the internationally acclaimed Frappier Acceleration Sports Training Program were:

Greg Tekulve
Greg Tekulve, CSI., is Vice President of Tekulve Acceleration Training. He is a graduate of McNicholas High School and the College of Mount Saint Joseph with a degree in History and Secondary Education. His experience as a high school and college football coach offers a unique perspective in the motivating and training of athletes. He has been personally trained by program designer John Frappier in Fargo, ND.
Tekulve Acceleration Training has led the way in Greater Cincinnati since 1992 for athletes to become quicker, faster and stronger while at the same time decreasing the rate and severity of injuries.

The Program
The Tekulve Acceleration Training Volleyball program is an innovative scientifically designed sport specific training program that utilizes interval speed training, plyometrics, weight training and Sportcords to heighten and strengthen your:
Explosive Capabilities Sprint speed and overall quickness Foot quickness for players at all positions Agility to intensify your defensive and offensive skills Strength and power for more explosive play

Program Components
Super Treadmill
The Super Treadmill has a top speed of 28 mph and an incline of 40 degrees. By scientifically adjusting interval time, speed and incline we develop the two major components associated with running faster: stride length and stride frequency.

Plyometrics
Plyometrics are jumping exercises designed to improve your balance and quickness for greater court coverage and improve your vertical jump.

This is a 21-session workout program. The athlete will run once and have one plyometric session per week. Each athlete will weight train at least twice a week. Our training program is designed to increase speed, agility, power and self-confidence. Our program is not a camp or clinic, it is the ultimate training program.

Individual Strength Training


An Individual Strength Training Program is developed for each athlete, concentrating on the lower body. We will target weaknesses and emphasize a proper strength base. You will use weight equipment specifically designed for the Acceleration program.

Sportcords
Our patented SPORTCORDS are used to isolate.specific muscles in serving, blocking and hitting. This allows you to train at velocities used in actual game conditions. The Sportcord Program is independent of the regular Acceleration Training but can be done at the same time as the regular program. This program has an additional charge.
