The Iollowing description is an installation example Ior your reIerence where sixteen 12 V batteries, Iour
batteries in one group and Iour groups in the IBBS cabinet, are interconnected to provide -48V power
supply Ior a single basic cabinet.
The IBBS uses the MCB to control the power Ior cabinets. The IBBS is conIigured with one MCB by
deIault at delivery, two MCBs in Iull conIiguration. II the IBBS needs to provide power Ior two cabinets,

5tcp 1 Route the cables by reIerring to Cabling Specifications.
5tcp 2 Prepare the OT terminals Ior the 48 V cables and RTN cables. For details on how to prepare
the OT terminals, reIer to Assembling the OT Terminal and the Power Cable. II the OT
terminals are ready, skip this step and go to Step 3.
5tcp 3 Lead the 48 V cables, RTN cables, external monitoring cables, and PGND cables out oI the
IBBS cabinet Iront the bottom to the top through the cable holes. Figure 2-17 shows the mapping
between the cables and the cable holes at the bottom oI the cabinet.

When the IBBS provides power supply Ior two cabinets, the cables between the two basic cabinets, that
is, the 48 V cables, RTN cables, and external monitoring cables can be led out through the corresponding
cable holes at the same time.
5tcp 4 Open the side cover oI the DC PDB, as shown in DC PDB of the IBBS. Then lead the 48 V
cables, RTN cables, and external monitoring cables into the DC PDB Irom the bottom to the top
through the cable holes. Connect the PGND cables to the two-hole grounding bar at the right
bottom oI the IBBS cabinet.
5tcp 5 Install power cables at the IBBS side.
Connect the 48 V power cable and RTN cable to the wiring nuts (positions 23 and 24
respectively) on the wiring bar, as shown in Figure 2-18.
