Applications are invited from eligible candidates for the teaching positions in various departments of the University Campuses at Tiruchirappalli, Ariyalur, Panruti, Ramanathapuram, Thirukkuvalai, Dindigul and Pattukkottai. Applications from persons who do not possess the minimum prescribed qualifications on 31.05.2010 will be summarily rejected. If the number of applied candidates is more, screening test will be conducted and the candidates will be called for an interview in the ratio of 1:5 by following reservation norms. The University reserves the right to restrict the number of candidates to a reasonable limit on the basis of qualifications and experience higher than the minimum prescribed in the advertisement and other academic achievements. 5. 6. The rule of reservation in appointments will be followed as per the Government of Tamil Nadu norms. If suitable and qualified candidates belonging to Arunthathiyar are not available for selection for appointment in the turn allotted to them, the turn allotted shall go to other SC candidates within the SC category on merit basis as per the G.O (Ms) No.61 Adi Dravidar and Tribal Welfare (TD2) Department dated 29.05.2009 7. 8. 9. Reservation for Women and Special categories such as Physically Challenged, Widows etc., is applicable as per the current norms in the roster. If no qualified and suitable women candidates are available for selection against the Posts reserved for them, those posts will be filled by male candidates belonging to the respective communal categories. Candidates should enclose a valid Demand Draft drawn in favour of The Registrar, Anna University Tiruchirappalli payable at Tiruchirappalli for Rs.1000/- for all categories (Rs. 500/- for ST/SC/SCA category) as non-refundable application fee and attested certificate copies for proof of Educational qualifications, Age, Experience, Community and Special categories. 10. Candidates should produce originals of the certificates mentioned above at the time of interview. Failure to produce may result in not being interviewed. 11. Candidates already in Government service should send their applications Through Proper Channel with No Objection Certificate. 12. The University reserves the right to increase or decrease the number of vacancies stated, fill or not to fill any or all the posts advertised if the circumstances so warrant. 13. The appointee may be deputed to the departments at any of the campuses of Anna University Tiruchirappalli. 14. The candidate may send copies of testimonials from persons intimately acquainted with his / her work and character and must also give the names and addresses of two persons to whom reference can be made. If he/she has been in employment, he/she should either give his/her present or most recent employer or immediate superior as a referee or submit a recent testimonial from him / her. 15. No interim correspondence will be entertained. 16. Experienced and highly qualified candidates may be placed in higher pay band. 17. Request for change of date of screening test / interview will not be considered. 18. Applicants should be prepared to come for a screening test and interview at Anna University Tiruchirappalli, Tiruchirappalli 620 024 at their own cost. 19.
