Rapunzel

nce upon a time, in a far, far away land across the pond called London, a gorgeous baby girl with

magnificent long blonde hair and blue eyes as bright as the Caribbean was born to the overjoyed Harrison family. The Harrisons were royalty and ruled all of England. They all had piercing green eyes with dark chocolate brown hair. As the daughter reached the age of 1, King Harold couldnt stand their differences in appearance. One night as the couple was just about to hop in bed, he finally confronted the Queen. She sighed; the Queen couldnt hide the secret any longer. Alright, I admit it! You were gone for 3 months and I got lonely. I had an affair with Juan Diego Im sorry, Harold. Ill do anything to fix this! exclaimed the desperate Queen. Its okay. I married you for a reason and I love you. We will work through this together, declared the King. That night, he called up the local gang to sell his daughter because he could stand being constantly reminded of the incident. The king twisted the story and told his wife that the gang had kidnapped their precious daughter. Within the course of 16 years, the princess lived in the top story of an apartment building located in downtown London owned by the gang. The gang went by the name the Black Knights. The princess didnt remember her name so she was given the name Rapunzel because of her 3 feet long hair. The Black Knights assigned her many chores to keep busy, but in her free time she enjoyed painting. Her paintings reflected her dreams, which her castles and images of mystical forests. But it wont be until later that she realizes they were all connected in some way. The paintings were very beautiful, but she had to hide them every time the gang leader came to check on them because they were too important to lose. One day, Prince William, the son of King Harold, overheard a melodic voice coming from the balcony of apartment 4B. He knew at once when he heard the voice that he would fall in love with the

2 girl that it came from. So he entered the building on a mission to find the girl. He started up the stair case and when he made it to the fourth floor; he heard a mans voice and peeked around the corner. He observed an ugly man with a beard and a wart above his lip who looked like he was up to no good. The leader chanted, Rapunzel, Rapunzel, open the door! The door instantly flew open and the group of men strolled into the room. They closed the door behind them and Prince William sprinted to the door to listen in on their conversation. Im tired of being locked up in this room all day. I think its about time I get to leave and be a normal citizen of England, pleaded the girl with the lovely voice. And can someone please cut my hair? I swear it gets caught on something every 2 seconds. The girls outside all have exquisite short hair but I just have ugly long hair! The men were shocked at this. No, cant you see you would be lost without us? Why do you doubt yourself? Your hair is what makes you special, Rapunzel. You shouldnt want to be like other girls. You are lucky to have us here to take care of you. You would be another clone! emphasized the leader. He looked at his watch and mumbled, Well, would you look at that, it is already half past noon. We will be back to check on you at midnight. When Prince William noticed they were about to leave, he panicked and fled back to his mates. He returned to the castle to only be haunted by the thought of seeing her face to face. That night, he dreamed of the girl called Rapunzel as a beautiful young lady with bright blue eyes and 30 feet long hair with braids throughout. When he woke up, he made a decision. He would go and help her escape from the apartment. He went on his way to save her and overheard the men again in the lobby after giving her a visit. Her hair could sell for millions, theres no way were going to cut it now! proposed one of the gang members. But every 3 minutes she gets it tangled on something and we have to go help her! Its becoming a hazard for her and us. Deal with it, the gang leader ended the conversation with a tone that could silence a whole country and walked away. So I can to, get a pair of barber scissors and then Ill have about a 3 minute window to get up there before she calls for them again, William thought to himself. In an instant he was back in his hiding spot with clippers. When he saw that the coast was clear, he darted up the stairs and when he reached the top step he heard a yell, Help! Help, Im caught again! He ran towards the room and shouted, Dont worry Im here to save you! Let me in! He heard a quiet click of the door and he busted into the room to see the exact girl from his dreams.

3 Here, he said as he held out the scissors, she took a step back breathing nervously. Do you want the hair off or not? he demanded. Yes but theyll hurt me if they find out its gone, she commented innocently. They are going to sell it! Dont you understand? Thats the only reason theyre keeping you locked up here. Now hurry up and come with me, theyre all probably on their way after that outburst! Come with me and you can live for a purpose! Prince William confessed. She gave in and surrendered her hair to him, he chopped it off in an instant and hauled the 30 feet long rope over to the fireplace and burned it. They left immediately and made plans on to go back to Prince Williams home. Is there a certain place where you need to go? Prince William asked as they were walking down the streets of London. People were giving the Prince odd stares. It wasnt normal for royalty to be walking the streets without a body guard. Maybe your parents house? I I dont have any parents, Rapunzel said in a melancholy whisper. Well of course you do! Everyone has two or else they wouldnt even be here right now. Even if I did, I dont know them, I was sold to this gang, The Black Knights and Ive lived in this room and never left my whole life. Hearing this made the prince upset. Im very sorry. If it makes you feel any better, I think you have the most beautiful singing voice in the whole world, he said. Why thank you, I tend to sing when a lot especially when I paint Oh no! I left my paintings! We have to go back! cried Rapunzel. Whoa, hold up. Theres no way were going back to face those scums! emphasized the prince. Watch me, she murmured as she begun to turn around towards the apartment. He watched as she trudged down the street. If she comes back, then its destiny for us to be together, he concluded to himself. He walked in the opposite direction and headed to the local pub. After a couple of minutes passed, he ordered a drink and as soon as the bartender set it down in front of him he blurts out, Who cares about destiny anyways? Im going back! He ran back to the apartment very quickly and as soon as he got there, he saw a group of men he had never seen before enter the room and start yelling. He ran in to save her but she already had it under control. As he walked in the door, she had them begging on their knees for her not to hurt them any further.

4 She was about to tie them up when a brave man admitted, We only wanted to fit in with the other guys in the gang. They all came here to check on you and be mean, and we wanted to be exactly the same. Please dont hurt us! The men were whimpering and it was quite pathetic. She responded, Well leave then! You just better not say you saw me here! They crawled away trying to hold back the tears. Rapunzel turned back around to continue packing up her paintings. So whyd you come back for me, I thought you said it was dangerous here, she muttered. I needed to make sure you were okay, Prince William returned bleakly as he looked down at the old carpet floor. I can take care of myself, she snapped back at him. Well Im sorry. I didnt know that. I just couldnt imagine life without you. When I heard your voice, I immediately fell in love. I couldnt stop thinking about you and kept falling deeper and deeper in love with you, he said passionately. Rapunzel glanced at the clock quickly and shrieked, Oh my goodness!! Look at the clock! We have to get out of here, its almost midnight and the leader will be here very soon! They quickly snuck out of the apartment with her paintings and went to the nearest bus stop to go back to his house. She finally feels comfortable around him and lets out a loud burp. She turns to look over at him and he was wearing the most appalled face she had ever seen. Whoa, normally girls dont do that around here, he managed to say. What are you trying to say? Its good to be different sometimes, she protested. When they got on the bus, some of the Black Knights were there. She stepped in front of him and said, Let me handle this. She took each of them out one by one, while doing this, she and William missed their bus stop. The got off at the next one and walked home to Williams rather large Castle which he called home. They walked in the door and he said, Mom! Were home! Wait, who is We? she said as soon as she laid eyes on the stunning young lady and exclaimed, You found your sister!?
