Ploughing back of profit?
• It is like retained earning. When you plough
back profit, you are putting profits back in
the business and thereby you are able to
earn even more profits. For example, if you
earn Rs. 30 on 100, instead of giving
dividends, keep it. Now you have 130, next
time you will earn 39 Rupees. You can further
retain it and next year you will have 50
rupees – and so on. Your assets will also
increase. It is cheaper than raising fresh
capital.

doesn’t have either money or taxis. He
takes taxis on lease (he will pay lease

• The decision to analyse a capital
investment project is called capital

evaluate the returns on the criteria of our
