Courts may take judicial notice of adjudicative facts not subject to reasonable dispute

7 because [they] . . . can be accurately and readily determined from sources whose accuracy cannot 8 reasonably be questioned. Fed. R. Civ. P. 201. The documents for whi ch the STMicro seeks 9 judicial notice are court records from other district courts and administrative public records from 10 ITC proceedings. As such, they are adjudicative facts of related judicial and administrative 11 proceedings, the existence of which cannot be reasonably disputed. 12 Courts routinely take judicial notice of filings, pleadings, and other adjudicative facts from

13 parallel proceedings, not limited to proceedings of the federal judiciary. See United States ex rel. 14 Robinson Rancheria Citizens Council v. Borneo, Inc. , 971 F.2d 244, 248 (9th Cir. 1992) 15 ([Courts] may take notice of proceedings in other courts, both within and without the federal 16 judicial system, if th ose proceedings have a direct relation to matters at issue.) (ci tations omitted); 17 see also Reyns Pasta Bella, LLC v. Visa USA, Inc. , 442 F.3d 741, 746 n.6 (9th Cir. 2006). For 18 example, in Bonnel v. Best Buy Stores, this district court held that judicial notice of orders and 19 filings in another action was appropriate because the requested documents are from sources 20 whose accuracy cannot reasonably be questioned, as they were filed in the Eastern District of 21 California, and are also a matter of public record. Bonnel v. Best Buy Stores, 881 F. Supp. 2d 22 1164, 1168 (N.D. Cal. 2012). Therefore, it is appropriate for this Court to take judicial notice of 23 trial transcripts, orders, and other court materials from the Micron and Hynix cases. 24 In addition, orders and judgments in administrative actions have been held to be proper

25 subjects of judicial notice. Papai v. Harbor Tug & Barge Co., 67 F.3d 203, 207 n.5 (9th Cir. 26 1995), revd on other grounds, 520 U.S. 548 (1997) (taking judicial notice of administrative law 27 judges order in different proceedings based on same accident; prop er to take notice of orders and 28 decisions of other courts and agencies).
