Gods Word For You Today

Tuesday, April 23, 2013 Job 1:6-9

Our lives are really built around considerations. Most people enter life when their parents consider getting married and having children. Most people consider what type of work that they would like to do, when making a career choice. When we consider that young man or woman, it often leads to a life together. We consider the climate when we choose where to live. I wonder, has it ever dawned upon you, that there might be others that are considering you, with out you even knowing about it. The man Job was in consideration, without even knowing: Job 1:6-9 KJV Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan came also among them. (7) And the LORD said unto Satan, Whence comest thou? Then Satan answered the LORD, and said, From going to and fro in the earth, and from walking up and down in it. (8) And the LORD said unto Satan, Hast thou considered my servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God, and escheweth evil? (9) Then Satan answered the LORD, and said, Doth Job fear God for nought? In this place, in our Bibles, it almost seems like God is bragging on Job. After all, God is the one that brought up Job, not Satan. Satan, Hast thou considered my servant Job. Do you know, that when I was being instructed to bring this Scripture to you, the thought came to me, would God ever brag on me the way that He did Job. Or, to put it more to the point, could God ever trust me to bring Him glory, like Job did. Satan, Hast thou considered my servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God, and escheweth evil?

*** I would like to list what God says about Job.

1. God Says That Job Was A Unique Man. There Is None Like Him In All The Earth!
God says that we are all pretty much different, so, this is not what the point was, Job was a man that was a mans man one that loved God and one that loved what God loved. God loves people and cares about their souls. This is what God wants for us. All you have to do here, is read this story, how Job prayed for his family and others even those that accused Job. Job 1:1-5 KJV , Job 42:7-8 KJV

2. God Says That Job Was A Perfect Man. A perfect (Man) (when you say Job was a perfect mansome women would say that there is no such thing (HA!) Job 2:
The word perfect, that is used here, really means complete or mature. It can also mean something like, a well balanced man. A stable man, not wishie - washie. You might ask Job a question, he would give you an answer that was fair, balanced and dependable.

3. God Says That Job Was an Upright Man. An upright man Job 2:
An upright man is an honest man. If he sold you something, It would be as he said and in a full measure. Job was an totally honest person. We do not have to cheat to get ahead.

4. God Says That Job Was A God Fearing Man. One that feareth God Job 1:22, Job 2:9-11
The term God Fearing man, does not mean the kind of fear that one has when he is afraid, but it means, a very healthy reverence and respect of God. When you walk with God in an upright manner, you do not have to be afraid of Him, because there is a son and Father relationship - He loves us and we love Him.

5. God Says That Job Was A Sin Hating Man. A man that escheweth evil Job chapter 40
When we walk with God, we soon love the things that He loves and we just as soon, hate the things that He hates. Does the term Godly or God Like mean anything to you? Now I know that I didnt take a lot of time to prove to you the meanings of these terms, that is because of my self imposed limits here, but take a good Bible dictionary and look up these terms for your self. It would be such a blessing to you!

Have A Really Good Day!
